You may have heard of Whiplash from various sources in Fortnite, and now you’re unsure what it is. You’re in luck, this article will explain what is Whiplash in Fortnite. Read on.

Fortnite is one of the most popular Battle Royale multiplayer shooters of this time. In addition to awesome gunfights, you can wear cool Outfits, do popular Dances, drive cars, and build stuff. Whiplash is a name that has been in Fortnite for some time, so we are here to clear any confusion you may have. Let’s check it out.

What is Whiplash?

Whiplash is an Uncommon Outfit in Fortnite, a female counterpart of Cabbie Skin. It costs 800 V-Bucks on its own, but usually, it is a part of the Racer Royale Bundle (which includes Whiplash and Cabbie Skins, Checker Glider, and Victory Lap Pickaxe for 1600 V-Bucks).

It is available to purchase in the Fortnite Shop from time to time, being a part of the Shop Rotation. The last time it was available was on November 29, 2023, so it is probably going to be a while until it pops up again. But what is the source of all the confusion?

Was Whiplash Only an Outfit in Fortnite?

Before being an Outfit, Whiplash was a Car, a type of land vehicle in Fortnite. It was the fastest car in the game and was removed at the end of Chapter 3. It was known to be incredibly fast on the road, and not so great off-road (unless you upgrade it with some off-road tires). But still, it was popular among players. Since its removal, Epic has added a lot of other high-speed vehicles (like Dirtbikes) and ways of moving fast across the map, so Whiplash is not that essential anymore.
