The first season of Diablo 4 since launch, nicknamed Season of the Malignant, is set to start soon. This will be the first encounter with seasonal content for many players. We will talk about how the seasons work in other articles, but the main question on everyone’s mind is when does it start. Diablo 4 Season 1 Season of the Malignant start time and countdown
Diablo 4 Season 1, Season of the Malignent starts on July 20th 2023 at the following times:
- UK: at 6 pm BST
- EU: at 7 pm CET
- US West: at 10 am PDT
- US East: at 1 pm EDT
At the time of writing, there is a little less than 4 hours before you’ll be able to play the game. There will be no preload, you’ll just be able to play the game from the main menu. As per the detailed patch notes, which went live on July 18, Season 1 will be accesible immediately in the game. With it comes a new Diablo 4 battle pass and rewards. When the new season starts, you will be able to create a new character in either Seasonal Realm or Seasonal Hardcore Realm. These realms are the only way to fully participate in seasonal content. You will have access to the Seasonal Journey and the Seasonal Battle Pass, which you can progress through with your new character.
Traditionally, most seasons in Diablo 3 lasted for between three and four months. It seems that Diablo 4 seasons will be no different, because Season 1 is planned to last up until October 9, according to the dev interview. This date may be subject to change but is a good point to plan your involvement around nonetheless.
