Resident Evil: Revelations 2 – Exciting New Details Revealed with Screenshots

Richard from PushStartPlay writes: Earlier this morning my issue of the November Gamesmaster Magazine turned up in the post and with it were some exciting details for the recently announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2, set for release early 2015 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Many of the details revealed include the return of Claire Redfield, the daughter of Barry Burton, plot and enemy details and much more. This information was revealed when Gamesmaster sat down with Resident Evil: Revelations 2 producer Michiteru Okabe.

agree with coop it can be a drag sometimes :/ but yeah i hardly ever pre-order, so hopefully they release tons of videos and ill just get it when ever if its good. i just hope this isnt obviously scripted and that enemies dissolve, soo :p

I read the article and the details more than once .

Something tells me this will end as stupid game with another action element's and stupid ideas by crapcoom.

Or at least this will not be the resident evil we want .

Right come on guys, I know you want to be optimistic because we all want a good RE game but it's not going to happen, it's going to be shit.

Oh and Barry's daughter, I mean come on why not just use Barry himself.

You see this is Capcoms problem, they keep adding new characters into new RE titles and they aren't that good. Sheva, Helena, Piers, Jake, Jessica, Parker they are all bland.

How can you say you want to go back to your horror focused roots and then not only bring co-op back but make it so the main objective of one of them is to heal you.

I always thought the best Resident Evils are the ones with Claire. RE2 and Code Veronica are still my favorites. Unlike every other character in the RE series, Claire always has a very human feel.

Yeah, i think there's a big chance that capcom took some cue from TloU, since TloU is a big success for a survival horror game with lots of award.

Well hopefully they play all of them. I'm not really surprised by how many people take the Bible literally, but it was never intended to be taken as such. That being said play whatever you want, same thing with movies because life is too short to get offended by fiction.

Very good and this is like my personal expectation. I love Claire but we need new character that never fight zombies to increased the tension.

Very good. One thing that i loved from RE 0, 1, & 2 are every character has their own function. Example like Chris. He had better stamina than Jill, but he doesn't have lockpick which can be a paint in the ass. Also, to solve some puzzle, like the piano puzzle, Jill can play a piano unlike Chris that needs Rebecca to do the job. I hope Claire and Moira have more function outside combat.

Yeah I agree, Claire is one of my favorite characters though :). I love RE2 and CV. It just bothers me that they add one familiar character and then some totally new, which I should try care for and feel attached to...like in RE5 or RE6.

sigh co-op again, you know I now seriously think had they made Revelations 1 on consoles instead it would have had co-op, well I hope from the sounds of it that Moira is more of a support character instead of a combatant character like Elizabeth in in Bioshock.

I still hope Revelations 2 will be the RE game we've wanted.

I guess Capcom thinks that having a friend to chat with over the atmosphere, keep you from dying when you should, and annoy you with unreliable AI is the essence of Survival Horror.

This looks AWESOME!! whats to dislike? seems to be an improvement on all fronts. Resident evil Revelations is by far the Best modern resident evil. (since 4). As for the coop complaint Sure having a supreme badass partner removes allot of fear,.. granted. In this however your partner is "barry's daughter "someone who im sure isn't a big Steroid Superhuman. looks quite atmospheric, and Claire!, im in.
