You’d think I’d have learned my lesson by now. Back in 2012, I started my review of Sniper Elite V2 by asking what could possibly go wrong. The answer was “a good bit” back then. I enjoyed the game, sure, but it was impossible to ignore all the issues at the time. I had hoped that Sniper Elite 3 would redeem the franchise. That it would have built upon the fantastic gunplay and just fix the problems. Not only was this not the case with the franchise’s latest outing, but there seems to be more issues than before.

The latest Humble Bundle will have 100 percent of proceeds going to support organizations responding to COVID-19. All told, there are 45 games included in the bundle as well as a number of comics, ebooks, and audiobooks.
"Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition is an excellent port of the original game, and feels right at home on the Switch. Unfortunately repetitive gameplay prevents it from achieving greatness. Nevertheless I would like to pin the Thumb Culture Silver Award over its heart." Phil @ TC
I can attest to each of thoe faults the author talks about. I've also had to unplug my xbox to get it to work after a save. This has happened to me twice, and with a cable box, receiver and tv hooked up it can really take some time for it all to sync back and work properly. Also ran into AI issues. Walked through a few walls also.
The game is fun if not a little monotonous. If you are patient, it is easy. Snipe, then run to a location you previously cleared, wait for the all clear, then return. Repeat as necessary.
I agree with the rating.
