Microsoft celebrated a major victory in November after NPD announced that Xbox One had sold 1.2 million units.
Curiously, no specific sales figures were provided for PlayStation 4, but Sony was thought to have sold between 750,000 and 800,000 units.
"The Spain-based indie games publisher Firenut Games and Granada-based (Spain) indie games developer Trigger the Monster, today announced with great joy and thrill that their dark fantasy adventure/management game “Search of Light” (AKA SOL), is now available for PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.

Feral Cat Den return with Nirvana Noir, a sequel to Genesis Noir centering around two different universes, and it truly feels like a bigger bang.
I don't see anywhere near that Xbone beating PS4. Xbone outsold PS4 in Nov. IN US ONLY, NOT GLOBALLY. But somebody still think US=World
"Is Xbox One Really Beating PlayStation 4?"
To answer your question, no. I don't think anyone is arguing that, really it's not even terribly close. However MS surely won novembers NPD, which is what the articles are about.
I feel like this author is making an argument that has no real need to be made. It is obvious PS4 sold more consoles as a whole. Also obvious that winning 1/13 months is hardly a comeback. (as some claim) However both xb1 and PS4 are selling with vigor and have an amazing games lineup and dev support.
NO! Deuces
Does this really matter? Are both selling well? Are both getting new games from both 1st party and 3rd party studios? Yes? Ok then again...why do we care if one is "better" sales wise?
Xbox is beating PS4? In which planet? Beacause here on earth, clearly, it's not.
