One of my favorite PS2 games right there.

A little weird to have a box for a download card though.

Very much agreed. A lot of people point to Fallout and Fallout 2, but for me the definitive example of a nonlinear RPG is Romancing SaGa. Such a fantastic game.

I really hope they release it in the NA store, too. Though that may not happen as we're still waiting on Wild Arms V.

I've never even heard of this before.

Saga Frontier 2 was excellent, is this better? I'm wondering if I should buy this, never played this before.

I didn't know there was a PS2 romancing saga.. I played the SNES one! It was pretty great though.

The PS2 one has the same characters and (mostly) same story, but brings in all kinds of improvements from later games in the series.

This link is several years old (from when RS PS2 released) but says it pretty well:

What do you need to know about SaGa?

It is a great time for fans of Square Enix’s SaGa series! Romancing SaGa 2 was ported to multiple platforms and released worldwide. SaGa: Scarlet Grace was the first new entry in the series in over 11 years when it was released on the PlayStation Vita in Japan in 2016. Basically, it feels like it is experiencing a renaissance. Which means it is a good time to review what makes it so special.

Wait what? I had an English translated ROM running on Windows 95 through emulation. "Finally" means that you weren't looking hard enough.
