I can't put it down too. great to see it has gotten more sales. I'm not gonna blindly back them up for releasing it broken MP-wise. but I waited and have been kept entertained since I bought it and for me, the game is simply amazing. 2 new event packs has been added and they've made it free and by looking at it, there will be at least 4 more incoming. can't wait to swoop those medals and dominate the online races.

challenge mode will keep people playing for a long time and the upcoming weather update will add new layer of challenges to existing circuits. keep up the good work Evo.

My biggest fear is that the only reason online was getting better was because people were giving up on the game, meaning the servers weren't getting hammered as hard. Be afraid that these issues come back again in full force once Xmas arrives and all those new copies get loaded up at the same time.

I get regular crashes, and also losses connection to the server at random intervals, despite me having a very good internet connection.

When it works, it's a pretty decent game, although I am not a huge fan of the engine sounds or the physics.

I'm not saying the sounds are "unrealistic" at all, what I am saying is this.

In the car view, the sounds are very muffled, now you could argue that this is realistic, but I'd prefer that the sounds (realistic engine / transmission) were (arguably less realistic) increased so I can actually enjoy the engine sounds, this is more than likely personal preference.

I am also not keen on the gear change, it's like every single car has a DSG gearbox, and there is no delay (throttle off, clutch, change gear, throttle on), this takes time, and as it stands, all gear changes are instant it's a problem Gran Turismo also suffers from.

Then there is a tyre sounds, while leagues ahead of Gran Turismo, they are still a little "off" to my ears.

DriveClub is meant to be an arcade racer and not a simulation racer like Gran Turismo. The realism in DriveClub will be skewed so that the game retains it pick up and play fun factor, so while some things will be accurate others may be "glamorized" or "tweaked".

Your argument for Gran Turismo is justified, just not for DriveClub. Luckily for you Gran Turismo is a constantly evolving beast with each major game release and its creator is a real stickler for attempting to create as real of a driving experience as possible. This is a double edged sword for the "game" aspect as it means the more mundane aspects of driving and racing (I'm thinking monotony mostly) are also included -- this is a more realistic driving experience, but puts off people who just want to dive in and have 5-10 minutes of fun and be about their day.

If you've ever been in one of these type of high end cars the sound is pretty muffled inside the car. In some cases it's virtually silent. Even high end super cars are virtually silent inside after the initial start-up unless the engine is revving really high. A lot of newer cars...even not so expensive ones, have pretty decent sound proofing inside the car, so they are nowhere near as loud as they were even 10 years ago.

Its very good, online connectivity is good, they have fixed the off track/ bumper car issues. Challenge modes are still not open however Evolution have stated it will be soon.

Driveclub has been one of my favourite games this year, I seem to go back to it all the time.

The game is working a lot better now than when it first came out, there are still issues but nowhere near what they were and the game is starting to show it's true colours.

I actually love the game and have had two friends play it, one bought the game after doing so and another just last week bought a PS4 to play it, so well worth picking up if your into your racing.

It is an amazing game, I had a break from it for GTA but been drifting back again , good few hours put in last night online , once they crack the game making bug that affects online now and again usually after two games , and sort the dreadful waiting time until you can choose car online and a few other bits and bobs, add weather, then we will have a racing classic at hand , though I'm sure the physics change so you can't be spun out,has affected the handling somewhat , as the cars feel way safer than they did at first, before patch, but still can be drifted nice , which is good , feels different though , hope evo get the problems behind them soon , as this game deserves to succeed , even with its flaws , it's hard not to appreciate the beauty in the title , from the dust being powdered up into the air as wheels pass over to dissipate into the breeze , and the birds and ambience, natural colours and lighting , car sounds and interiors, all blow your mind stuff at times , well done evo , glad sales blew up.

With the vast amount of bad press the game has got this bundle obviously wasn't going to sell well at RRP so retailers have got to get rid of the stock somehow. DC was hyped up to be the definitive car racing experience right there next to GT. Not only was it delayed a year, but when it dropped it didn't have nearly enough content everyone thought it should, on top of reported bad AI, and a confirmed broken online, not to mention a PS+ version that was all but canceled.

So yea, people are going to moan a lot more about DC than they are MCC.

we've been able to connect to halo since day one, matchmaking times have just been pretty bad. its not like people havnt been able to get online like what was happening in DC for the first week or two. ive been playing every night since the last halo patch and have had absolutely no problems getting games. the only thing left is getting it to where you don't get kicked after every couple of games. you wouldnt know that though since you don't own it and its just a broken mess right?

Think its because drive club was a delayed a year,then released with only 55 cars not that many tracks,no replay mode and no weather and oh yeah the online is totally broken..... On top of that you have forza horizon 2 being everything driveclub should have been only announced at e3 2014 with not one issues. 200+ cars and open world. Halo worked fine from day one,if you sit in a lobby for 30 mins then you are not bright,I waited 3 mins tops and found matches often. Once in the game worked fine,deff could be better but not as broken as n4g wants you to think. The fact Sony has all but cancelled the PS+ edition is a real sucker move to get people who waited a year just try the game wait even longer or fall for the hype like everything else Sony.

When I saw the reviews DC was getting I understood why because most reviews panned the game because of the online but really once I played the tour events and got the Audi R8 V10(first super car you unlock) I amazed at how fast it felt compared to the other cars. Great racing game , one of the best since Dirt 2 (my only platinum ever)for me. The ignition dlc with the BMW M4 and others is awesome too. The leaderboards still looks hacked to me though if you look at the top times, but at least my own times reflect now , and the online challenges work fine too.

I got addicted to beating time trial records this weekend. Just pick a location, and hop in a car, and boom, ghosts are there for you to compete with. beat them, and faster ghosts appear. I got completely addicted and played the same lap and car for a few hours. got to 2nd place on that leaderboard. its so fantastic that every track+car combo has its own time trial leaderboard. instead of just every track. That way if you prefer a slower car, it doesn't stop you from competing. You get lots of progress points for completing fast clean laps, too. Also, you can try to beat challenges WHILE driving in a time trial. Its racing crack.

I finally did something I haven't done in 19 years. I just purchased my first Sony home console, Bought the £299 with Driveclub & Last of Us Digital Download bundle from Game website. I already own an Xbox One.

Total amount I actually paid was £184.71, found an old Gift card and decided to see if anything was on it. Added on £15.28 in reward points and snagged quite the bargain. So now I have a foot in both camps.

Funny thing is that when I looked at the website in the morning they were all sold out. I tried again sbout 1pm on a whim and it was back in stock, so I took the plunge.

Looking forward to being able to experience the best exclusives both companies have to offer in the future.

Fanboys are hammering it, while they rave about Halo MC Edition, BUT, fanboys from either side will constantly contradict themselves to suit there agenda...

I can't wait until Sony & Evo pull there virtual finger out there ar$es & get the freebie PSN+ version up, for fence sitters to get a taste & see if they like... As already said, once that is live, sales will see a further spike...& as a gamer & fan of Evolution, & DC, that will be great for me... They've already given us some free content, & I believe 2 or 3 more DECENT sized FREE content updates, would be awesome, & show support to US early adopting consumers that had to put up with a broken FULL PRICED title, from the get go.. We deserve some kind of compensation, & so far, 1 couple of cars & a track is NOT enough... I'd like to think we'll get more for our perseverance...

I have played Drive Club and there is no denying it has some nice graphical touches in game, but a game is determined by its gameplay, and with some of the comments on this thread it seems to be how the game looks rather than how it plays.

And with Sony's pedigree to release racing games like Gran Turismo, Driveclub falls short of this with games like Forza Horizon 2, Test Drive Unlimited and Need for Speed leading the open world driving experience.

DC = EPIC FAIL ....had it and traded it for GTA 5 on my PS4. Waited a whole year to be let down...I love ps4 but I dont defend mediocrity.

Screw the haters. This game is F'ing amazing all told PLENTY to do now with the free DLC. Racing for me is best since NFS: Hot Pursuit. Such an underrated game.
