Check Out Share Play in Action on PS4

If done properly, this can be a real game changer, also... In before the "This is exactly what MS had planned" lie.
It's also cool that the guest doesn't need PS+ and that they can also play as a 2nd player in some games without any downloads

Wrong the video specifically says both people are required to have PS+.

Also, this feature sounds nice in theory, but for the vast majority is likely to suck big time. Most people's upload speed is atrocious.

Just think of the average completely screwed up twitch stream video and add a dash of lag filled ad slow controller experience and you got it!

Sure there is an excuse to not have plus, the excuse is that if one doesn't like online MP games why pay for a service you won't use?

Your wrong.

In the first mode where you hand over the control to the guest PlayStation plus isn't required for the guest but it's required for the host.

In the second mode which is coop mode both need plus to use this feature.

thats why i'm thinking its too good to be true. this is a good idea for sports games so now you don't have to buy 2 copies to play with each other just one of you needs a copy and can keep playing even after the one hour time limit is over by starting share play again. i'm going to save alot of money with shareplay.

Pretty much this. And now I kind of see why EA Access wasn't part of Sony's plan. Why have your consumers pay for another service, when you can simply pay for PS+ and share play.

EA Access still has the discount (but Best Buy is killing everyone with their Gamer's Club Unlocked prices, making every new $60 only $48, offering the biggest games of the year a bonus $10 gift card, and building up $5 reward coupons for 5 games you buy).

The only real benefit at this point is early access, IMO. EA Access is still a decent service for XBO, but this is truly a game changer and a virtual way of bringing couch co-op back.

Congrats Sony, I didn't think this would be as big as this video displayed. Truly impressed.

That was one of their bullet points for the feature when they announced it before the PS4 launched. If you get stuck on mission or pesky trophy you can have your friend help you.

I am wondering how this extra overhead will effect quality? Certainly all of this extra processing will downgrade game graphics significantly.

This is really not a game changer at all. Nothing special and won't be used alot.
