New Title Wild Lets You Play As Any Living Creature On The Planet In This New Trailer

A new open world title is being announced at Gamescom, with a map potentially as big as Europe itself. In this new title you'll be able to play as any living creature (or dead also as we see NPC skeletons that could be usable also) and roam the world as you adventure about.

Every instance of the game that you play is supposed to be different.

Yes it does and it's no secret i Am Xbox strong but I really want this game. With that said I think it's safe to say that neither really won games com. Only if Tomb Raider is truly exclusive will Microsoft have won. However, were it stands now is a flat out tie.

Whats with the disagrees? neither had a mind blowing announcement get over it. Both were good conference both better then E3, but that's not saying much. If you think one was really better please explain how. Like I said if tomb Raider is truly exclusive you can argue all you want, but that means Microsoft won. Case and point look at the reaction it got, Nothing Sony announced came close to that kind of reaction.

The Tomb Raider news is shocking. Everyone is either just confused at why or just pissed off(since they supported the remastered version). That is the biggest news that came out though

Saying that both have had a good showing. Microsoft and Sony did what they needed to do.

On topic but this game looks good. Still like to see more before I make a final judgement. Who is making this game (link is broken at the moment)

Moe-Gunz3544d ago

Tomb Raider announcement is shocking but not something that automatically makes MS win. It's actually receiving more negativity thank anything.

Neither won anything.

Palitera3544d ago

As I said earlier, Tomb Raider doesn't matter anymore.

It was sad to see the franchise dive into a terrible choice, but PS players got SO... MUCH... MORE!!!

uth113544d ago

I think MS won the headlines with the Tomb Raider bombshell.

Not sure that they had the better overall showing though.

You're joking Sony won Gamescom by a landslide, I mean Tearaway, Wild, Until Dawn all AAA exclusive games for PS4, AlienNation also looks awesome for a 1st party indie game, other timed exclusive indies.
There was timed exclusive Hellblade, new gameplay for Bloodborne, Rime, The Order 1886 and Driveclub.

Microsoft didn't show any gameplay for Tomb Raider, only that ScreamRide game, which looks very unappealing.

10 million console sold too, Sony definitely won by miles.

ThatOneGuyThere3544d ago

I would trade the roller coaster game for tomb raider any day of the week. i was going to get uncharted anyways, so its not a loss for me. But that coaster game looks fun. That said, saying anyone "won" anything is dumb. I'm really looking forward to Destiny more than ever now, and I saw a lot of very unique games from playstation I cant wait to get my hands on. The indies are looking great too!

PLASTICA-MAN3544d ago

Oh I didn't know Michel Ancel left Ubisoft (Ray Man and Beyond Good & Evil creator) and joined Sony. H e was one of the pioneers of Ubisoft, a big loss for Ubisoft and a big gain for Sony hence the originality of the concept of his first Sony game.

DOMination-3544d ago

Lol at "First party indie game"

Wild looked great. Just wish I knew what you actually did in the game but seems like a grwat concept

The game looks big in scope. Is it possible that we encounter other players roaming in our play-through? If yes then it will me an amazing experience.

BitbyDeath3544d ago

Blog confirms you can go online with it so yep.

MrSec843544d ago

Apparently it's being developed by the guy that came up with Beyond Good and Evil.

DOMination-3544d ago

Yes, Michel Ancell. He alao created Rayman

SIX3544d ago

CRAZY is an understatement! Did you see those giants?!?!?!

funkybudda3544d ago

A very unique title, this is what I like about Sony, they will try something new instead of just another "me-too" type of games.

Lwhit63544d ago

That giant EAGLE THOUGH!!

Here's hoping that i can play as that awesome thing.

Blasphemy3544d ago

God DAMN Sony coming with the games! Could PS4 be PS2 all over again?!

medman3544d ago

Is it me or did Rime look phenomenal also?

Cryptcuzz3544d ago

So excited for this game. It has originality written all over it and such a big sigh of relief from the usual games released nowadays.

No wonder Sony decided to end the conference with this game.

I'm not going to lie, even if this is a indie ( I said if it's a indie because i Don't know) game it looks impressive as hell and will be picking this up baby.

LOL_WUT3544d ago

Agreed looks very good when they were riding along and when the character comes out of the mud the whole trailer was awesome. ;)

Palitera3544d ago

Now wait this baby grow and have an affair with No Man's Sky... Boom! The game to kill all games.

Enemy3544d ago (Edited 3544d ago )

They also said the game's open world is as big as Europe. Insane.

The_Klank3544d ago

Don't know why you got a disagree but that is exactly what they said, looks like its 4 player co op as well so this kinda blew me away.

KwietStorm_BLM3544d ago

He got a disagree because internet.

Cryptcuzz3544d ago

This game has shareplay written all over it. Game's going to be awesome if Sony has enough confidence to close the show with it.

Agreed. This has been my most anticipated since it was announced and when it seemed to disappear Ghosts of Tsushima assumed that role. I never forgot it but also wasn't sure I would see it again. Hope was renewed when rumors arose earlier this year that it would be a PS5 launch title.

RpgSama1467d ago

It was probably too ambitious to make it work for the Ps4, the scope of what the game wanted to achieve was on another level

Sono4211467d ago

If I remember correctly the only thing that made me skeptical about this game was the fact it's proceduraly generated, other than that it looked really good!

Ashunderfire861467d ago

"It was probably too ambitious to make it work for the Ps4, the scope of what the game wanted to achieve was on another level."

The developers wanted to make Wild as big as Europe! That is a very big world size that is better served with the PS5's magic 5.5GB SSD! I just hope they won't scrap the project like what one developer did with the OG Xbox game BC!

I was always interested in this game. I wonder where it is now or is it even going to be released this gen.

morganfell1467d ago

If it releases I think it is past this gen.

thejigisup1467d ago

I'm seriously hoping this game gets released soonish. WiLD has been in development 6+ years probably closer to seven and its about time. Probably gonna be ps5 and ps4 title at this rate. I think Sony is holding back releases right now for the new console launch.

thatguyhayat1467d ago

From the launch leak and others, i didn't believe it at first but now seems hopeful now

Gaming4Life19811467d ago

I been waiting on this game since it was first shown, glad to see its not canceled.

S2Killinit1467d ago

Nice. Now give us some gameplay.
