PS4 vs Xbox One: Dev Hitting 1080p on PS4 At Will Due To DDR5 vs DDR3, DX12 To Help In Some Cases

PlayStation 4 is just eight month old and we have already seen some gorgeous looking truly next-gen titles such as "Infamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall" and many more are coming in 2015, like "The Order: 1886 and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" etc. So in this regard, what does the future hold, are we going to see better titles for PlayStation 4 in the future?

XiSasukeUchiha3577d ago

So in conclusion from what I read reaching 1080p on XB1 is so-so while PS4 reaching 1080p is simple.

Ezz20133577d ago (Edited 3577d ago )

yeah, pretty much

*OMG!! can't believe that i understand Sasuke comment for once*

captain_slow823577d ago

i have to agree way to go sasuke lol

amiga-man3577d ago

Hardly a surprise superior specs built with developers in mind things will always be a lot easier to do on the PS4, it was built that way

chrisarsenalsavart3577d ago (Edited 3577d ago )

I love my ps4 to bits, but having said that I m glad Microsoft took the gloves off and really start to fight back. It will make them fight for our hard earned cash and by doing so. Delivering the best games on their respective platforms. Result, each and everyone of us will be a winner.

NatureOfLogic_3577d ago (Edited 3577d ago )

I personally don't want to see MS succeed. I actually feel like they should fail this gen. But that's just my opinion. I've never own a Xbox, so maybe I just find MS DRM, no used games, inferior hardware and lies less forgiving than others.

therevolution3577d ago

@ArgumentumAdPopulum, you mean the DRM, no used games (which seem like the same thing) that wasn't implemented, and somehow 'inferior' hardware make it so they shouldn't be able to recover and satisfy or *shock* grow their user base? They've made mistakes, but if they can earn your dollars the old fashioned way, you still feel like they should fail? Isn't that a bit irrational?

UltraNova3577d ago

@therevolution

Your reply to Argumentum was indeed very rational.

Until the point >> "they can earn your dollars the old fashioned way" you realize its Microsoft you are talking about, then it falls apart back to being just irrational.

Sorry dude If you've been around long enough you should be perfectly aware that MS is not be forgiven, ever! They deserve every bit of hard time we give them. Wishing for one of the worlds biggest Mega Corp to turn consumer friendly is...embarrassing really.

therevolution3576d ago

@hypernove, the question posited was hypothetical, as predicated by the if, perhaps if I emphasized it like so, IF. There, does that fix it? I'm just alarmed that some people's reactions to MS' original vision for the bone is so hostile that it colors their perspective indefinitely. I'm still undecided at this point as to a current gen console, though I do own a Wii U, so for me the battle for my living room is still in flux. I see pros and cons for both consoles and their respective manufacturers, and thanks to a series of 180's and what seem to be genuine concern for their brand, and perhaps rightfully so, they seem to have righted the ship, and if only for the sake of $$$$ or not that doesn't change the fact that, to a certain segment, MS has certainly made a more compelling argument than in previous years. Never say never is all I'm saying, and this juvenile idea that the Xbox band is now forever tainted is premature at best.

UltraNova3576d ago

Hypernova, correct. I took it to the next level of massive star deaths when I picked this alias ;-)

I m reluctant to believe you on this

"I'm just alarmed that some people's reactions to MS' original vision for the bone is so hostile that it colors their perspective indefinitely"

Do you really find what MS tried to force on the gamer acceptable enough to justify forgiveness?

IF SO you are truly a prime example of a customer MS should always target. Its sad really..

Yes if we want to keep what is our own we should never forget and forgive such moves.

Maybe they are trying to right the ship, they surely are trying I'll give them that, but you cant seriously expect us to let them off the hook so soon...

Finally, the xbox brand is not forever tainted in the eyes of the general public, just yet, its MS who is dragging the console down with their anti-consumer 'visions'.

Btw its ok to admit your preference don't try so hard to hide it just go get an xb1 you know you want it ;-)

Here's a piece of advice... stay off the pro-DRM talk it does you no good.

So you read the article and yet posted first
*mind blowing*

Do you have a time machine or something?

hardeepmeghera3577d ago

GDDR5! It's the word that shall protect me from Xbox fanboys.

Volkama3577d ago

Bubble down for trolling, but bubble up for the important G that the title missed. So we're all square.

SilentNegotiator3576d ago (Edited 3576d ago )

They aren't vampires. They're just irrational.

VealParmHero3576d ago

Yea, finally we know the truth. Good thing because none of us had any idea until just now.

Once or twice a week an article like this pops up, and you could basically just swap out the game in question and the article is the same.

Edit: My bad

Ezz20133577d ago

this is saying what everyone already know
time to move on from those articles

Eonjay3577d ago

Seems fair enough. I like the fact that he is basically saying performance is the sum of all parts.

gamer11383577d ago

Might be time to stop quoting Wardell. He's talking about a memory type that isn't even in the PS4!

DDR5 is not GDDR5.

Moving on.

sam_job3577d ago

it seems like you are moving on from the core issue and concentrating only on missing alphabet...

EA says largest Battlefield team yet is building ‘another tremendous live service’

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson stated in a recent EA Earnings Call, that the next Battlefield "it is going to be another tremendous live service.”

Another? ANOTHER?

Is he honestly trying to make out like the last Battlefield was a huge success, not just as a game but as a live service game? I'm sure these guys live in their own echo chambers, they are so far removed from reality or they just like talking out of their arse trying to rewrite history.

Also why say such a tone deaf statement when you know the state of live service games at the minute and how many gamers feel about them. Bigging up the next BF game as live service does not give me any excitement or hype.

''is building ‘another tremendous LIE service’''

This is nothing too new
https://www.eurogamer.net/e...

They had plans of a universe of live service games

Also these studios made 2042 there is no new massive team its the same team
https://www.eurogamer.net/t...

Well same team minus the seattle boys that were canned

This is all again same news different year but it seems very few remember what happened before covid.
