Now of course sales matter but then lets be consistent. That means that Halo 4 is better than the Last of Us which would mean that Halo MCC is one of the best values in gaming history.

Better games is highly subjective. Better games is based on who you talk to and what their tastes are in games. MS simply used E3 award results to make their marketing statement. There is nothing wrong with that... People can decide for themselves whether they want to believe it.

The Wii is a perfect example on "best games".

The Wii's sales success was more about demographics than about the best software. WiiSports which was one of the ugliest games last gen was fun, but not really for most typical gamers. The social aspects of playing the game drove sales.

The Wii sold about 15 million more consoles last gen than 360 and ps3, but did not have near the attach rates for game purchases that 360 and ps3 had. Could it be that the Wii did not have that great of selection for games? Sure there were the great Nintendo exclusives but the third party games outside of Ubisoft were mostly a shovelware by a large margin.

It's not a screw you to those who already have it.
Those who already have it are likely getting the better end of the deal because some of them got titanfall and a kinect with their XB1 for 450-550 USD.

If people want a kinect later on, they are like gonna pay 150-200, possibly even 250 for it later.

And People were ASKING for the kinect to go away so they could reduce the price. Some people refused to buy it SIMPLY BECAUSE they were worried about the kinect seeing them smoke pot/or other drugs in their living rooms (nevermind that their laptops already have webcams) or that they beat their kids/wives.

Sony fans even bashed the kinect for being included and said that voice controls could be done with a headset instead. Well now some people got what they wanted, including Sony fans who were just bitching to bitch, and actually have no intention of buying the console. And what is happening now? Goalposts are getting shifted and moving around like a belly dancer with Parkinson's. They cry: "Oh wow! another 180? another change from their original idea? OHH NOEZZZ!!!"

Yeah. Another change. All because crybabies and/or malicious and slimy trolls made it a big deal to the extent that it had to happen. Whether or NOT- any of those fucktards intended to ever support the Xbox one.

And it makes me so curious as to how the Xbox one is seen as so over-priced or bad, when people were gladly paying 600 bucks for PS3's..................

Of course x box has more AAA games, thats really not in dispute still is it. We got more games at launch and we're getting more games 2014 and 2015.

Microsoft has the best games. Well everyone is different and tastes are different, so i wouldn't say a Sony fan is wrong for saying the PS4 has the best games.

Speaking as an x box fan we haven't seen gameplay from the real heavy hitters yet.

Gears of War and Halo5 have yet to be seen.

uncharted nothing seen of that really either.

Its going to be interesting couple of years.
