I Want More Fetch From Infamous: Second Son

Gameinformer:
"It's rare that I finish a game and immediately wonder about DLC, but as soon as I finished Infamous: Second Son, I wanted see more of Fetch. It felt like my time with her ended way too soon. "

Out of Eugene and Fetch, she was the best character.

I would of preferred it if Eugene was cut and Fetch was one of the main characters. The Story was far too short to have both characters in the game.

Although I did like Reggie the best. I wish he ended up being a conduit, seems like good DLC to me

<SPOILER>

You could have Reggie wash ashore only to find out he's a conduit, maybe a water based one, maybe he could be like Delsin and have a variation of his power like he doesn't need a conduit, he can just find a power source and he gains that power but he's limited to how many he can abosrb.....so because he fell into the water, his power was activated and because of the water thats the power he absorbed.

Powers in the DLC could be

Water
Steel
Glass
Wire
Paper

I would love to see Reggie turn into a conduit....something he's been "brain washed" by the government to hate. His mission could be to escape the city which is still infested with DUP soldiers as Delsin would be back home at the end of the main game.

Lucreto3662d ago

The best part of the game was Delsin and Reggie. They were great together and left a smile on my face after each scene. He could make a come back as you said.

-Foxtrot3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

I hope so, I mean theres people saying things like

"Oh well how did he manage to pass the scanner at the start of the game"

Yet forget that he's a cop, maybe he had granted access straight away.

Then there's those who say his resurrection sort to speak would cheapen his death scene even though there wasn't much emotion behind it as we hardly got to know him.

I think people are over thinking it, it's a super hero like game and in those worlds anything could happen.

Hell if <SPOILERS> they go with the evil ending and make Delsin humanities new enemy what better person to take him down then his own brother.

robtion3662d ago

Sorry guys, Reggie is gone. Time to face facts, grieve, and move on.

Lucreto3662d ago

If games and TV logic is wrong unless you see a body you can't count out a return.

Also there is a difference between Conduit activated and conduit positive.

Shadonic3662d ago

There going to have to come up with some new story element then for the whole reggie getting past the conduit checkpoint thing. No half assed junk just to please the fans. I personally dont care for seeing reggie come back or eugene, Fetch on the other hand I would love to see come back.

-Foxtrot3662d ago

Well as I said above it's not impossible to think that with him being a cop he got granted access straight away automatically.

Maybe he was only putting his credentials into the machine not being scanned like everyone else.

Lucreto3661d ago

I think those checkpoints are designed to find activated Conduits ie ones who already have their powers. Reggie could be classed at an conduit positive meaning he has the gene but show no powers.

BABY-JEDI3662d ago

I pretty much had the same idea, but kudos to you for putting it so well. As for Eugene. I would like to see him in DLC gaining more powers by playing video games. Think about it. It would be a good spin.

GamersHeaven3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

Evil Deslin/Fetch's misson was awesome one of my favorite parts in the game.I was looking forward to more of her in the game too bad SuckerPunch never put much of fetch into the story they need to bring her back for the DLC hopefully play as her or Deslin teams up with her once more :)

NovusTerminus3662d ago

Fetch was my favorite character, and it felt like she could have carried the game better as a lead. At least to me.

Conzul3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

Same here. I think it could be done. Gots to be careful though - so many stereotypes and tropes to fall into with female leads.

Or just let them make a sequel with a fem lead. Get them out of their comfort zone X]

-Foxtrot3662d ago

Think of the variation of attacks we could of had with her power, then the same boring move sets with Delsin.

Yeah he had different powers but there no fun with the same move sets.

SpinalRemains1383662d ago

True. The neon was by far my favorite. The neon good karma moves to the legs and the slow down aim like original inFamous was very cool. The run fast forever was sweet as hell too.

All in all it wasn't that I found the neon to be superior which bugged me as much as it was the always switching. 4 powers? Really? Just give us 1 unique power so we feel different from everyone else in the game and ample time to master it. The switching nearly killed it for me.

-Foxtrot3662d ago

@SpinalRemains138

They could of added onto those powers aswell with more time.

Like the one where you can run forever, imagine if they added quick teleportation bursts with it so you could get around even faster or you could speed the move up.

What about using the neon as a sort of transit on the train rails

You could have energy grenades that shoot out lasers when they explode

Maybe an energy force push for crowd control

An energy/neon barrier to shield yourself.

A move to hide yourself within Neon lights if you get ganged up on too much

A laser eye beam attack maybe?

I could go on

It's better then the same boring old move sets we got. Standard attack, heavy attack, ground punch, alternative power, special power. Rinse and repeat.

Hell they had so fantastic ideas in the Glass/Wire concept art.

Orange Juice3662d ago

I felt like I could almost smell fetch through my tv.

BABY-JEDI3662d ago

That doesn't sound very Fetching. LoL

jhoward5853662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

Fetch reminds me of a female actor(Fairuza Balk) in American history X.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM105d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck105d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati104d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos105d ago (Edited 105d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88136d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183135d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie135d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
