Interceptor Launches New Countdown Page For Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction

Interceptor Entertainment has launched a new countdown page for its latest Duke Nukem title, Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction.

Man these guys have balls of steel. Even after Gearbox sued them they're still going for it.

I think they know that, if anything, they may just have the people on their side. Whereas Gearbox has really been screwing up as of recently, Duke Nukem being very much a part of that, Interceptor has at least proven they can make a solid enough tribute to the shooters of old in the way of the Rise of the Triad remake.

Having "the people on your side" doesn't mean a thing in a court room, even if the game turns out great and people buy it in droves.

And just to clarify for you, this isn't really in the vein of a tribute to old school shooters such as the (pretty good) Rise of the Triad-- it's a top-down RPG.

Point being these are guys that prove they can do an old work justice. I'll give you that I thought this the Duke Nukem mod project they were working on before being shot down.

According to them they actually own the Duke Nukem license. Apparently the rights were contractually supposed to revert back to them after a while and Gearbox is just being anal. That's what I heard anyway. Anyone has any confirmation on that?

I still hope they still have files of Duke Nukem 3D remake on Unreal 3 engine they were doing before.. and I hope they gonna release it one day :)

these games aren't for everyone and me personally i cant stand them that being said i hope these developers get to make the game they want.

I'm just not that interested in a top-down ropleplaying Duke Nukem. If it turns out to be a remarkable game with solid gameplay and mechanics, I'd be happy to give if a shot, but I'm holding out for reviews on this one.

What happened to the remake of Duke Nukem 3D that was supposedly launching on Vita and PS3? The dev stated they were done with development months ago, yet it's nowhere to be found.

I would enjoy playing one my favorite games on my PS3 (Duke Nukem 3D) but to be honest i rather see Devolver Digital giving more focus on their current projects like Hotline Miami 2 and this new Duke Nukem game.
