Earlier this week, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) released as a console launch exclusive on Xbox One in the Xbox Game Preview program, bringing the hottest multiplayer game of the year to console for the first time. Xbox fan excitement for the launch has been incredible, with more than 1 million players on Xbox One in its first 48 hours alone.

I believe you can do a return and just re purchase it to get the free game, you don't even have to bring the console, just do a sealed return and then re buy it.

I've done this many times.

I bought Ark when it came out for PS4 and the price was actually way cheaper back then. Yes the game ran like crap sometimes, but after a couple of patches, it became way better!
I expect the same for PUBG on Xbox. I expect some of the performance problems to be sorted out by the time it get released on PS4.

Not at the moment...but could be in 3-6 months. Let's call it a "work in practice".
Know lots if people who play it on PC and "love" it. I think it can be horrendously frustrating while extremely rewarding!!

It's the most popular game of the year on PC for sure. It's something pretty new and on PC it works well enough with some concessions. It's still in early access, but the actual game play is said to be tense and exciting.

On the X1 it's kind of dodgy on the performance, and better on the X1X although still dodgy at times. If you are willing to put up with the performance drops though, people say it's fun, and it doesn't cost as much as a full game.

No it isn't, and neither is the input lag.

It's not fixed. Turning off the game DVR only improves performance slightly, doesn't improve input lag, and also disables one of the best features of the game.

The game still stutters, lags and suffers from a low frame rate. It's slightly better. That is all. I wish people wouldn't just outright lie about these things and mislead people.

Next year my console playtime is looking like 40% Sony(spiderman and GOW) and 40%xbox(Multiplats on x) and 20% switch. (Zelda almost finished)..

2.) I think it's the consumer's fault for not anticipating price depreciation, or at least a "price drop" that disentangled Kinect from being a part of every bundle. Again, said early purchasers saw what was included and paid what was described (console, controller, Kinect, etc).

It's hilarious what gamer's will forcefully overlook when it's even timed exclusive this game is a broken unfinished mess I've seen two people get stuck in the environment and Your character doesn't even look right in game so the character creation is borderline useless atm I've seen people rendered as the Generic character loadout or a totally different character altogether. Walls glitches early exploiters it funny seeing people play and praise this piece of digital dog sh**

Isn't this false advertising? They're obviously counting "console exclusive" games in that without indicating they're not just "console exclusive".

I just trawled through Xbone's "exclusive" library and it included stuff like Fallout Shelter (which is available on Android, iOS and PC as well) and PUBG (which is available on PC). No doubt if you took out all PC or mobile games from that list you'd be left with a fraction of it.
