29.15 GB.... hmm is it me or does that seems kinda light?

brich2332460d ago

Dont worry, they already have a few dlc's ready for you to buy in the coming months.

OffRoadKing2460d ago

The original game was 40 Gigs so yeah its a little light. Could be they found ways of compressing files and keeping file sizes down or it could be that its light on content, we'll just have to wait and see.

boomtube19872459d ago

well the game is running 30fps. Graphics are the same as last one... just more polished. Destiny 2 has small maps with 4 vs 4 and runs 30fps. This game is a joke.

thekhurg2459d ago

Framerate has nothing to do with file size.

2pacalypsenow2459d ago

Who cares if it runs a 30fps, framerate has no effect on the quality of a game some of the best games run at 30fps on consoles, otherwise Breath of the Wild wouldn't be a 97 on meta.

@2pacalypsenow yes it does. I just can't stand 30fps on MP. Its the biggest reason i hate it. Just nasty. Slow and feeling of inconsistency. It feels like a shooter STD. It burns my eyes. Hop on to CoD or BF and cure is instant. Damn... the smoothness is like an orgasm. The beauty of those response. I am convince we should have laws against devs who make there MP shooter run at 30fps.

UnHoly_One2459d ago

When did 4 vs 4 become a negative thing?

I can't be the only one that prefers smaller multiplayer modes like that, can I???

I'd rather be one of the four, and be responsible for 25% of the victory, than be like 3% of the team and feel like I did nothing.

I just don't get the appeal of huge multiplayer modes like that.

Pretty light.. There could always be a large day 1 patch

3-4-52459d ago

Depends on how it was optimized I think or compressed. Some devs are better are it than others.

Don't worry, wait for all the patches it will be much more later

Sam Fisher2459d ago

Why must 1 expect updates to enjoy a game, a developer takes approximately 4-5 years making a game. Thats enough time to polish a game well enough not to have a "day 1 patch"

InTheZoneAC2459d ago

No devs are ever satisfied with a product they release so patches are to expected, regardless of when they come out

Obscure_Observer2459d ago

More interest in PS4 Pro and Xbox One X file sizes.

DevilishSix2459d ago

Totally agree and this is how I will be playing it, but it is interesting to compare the original size of 40GB to this 29GB. There maybe more story, but I am not convinced there will be more map size to explore unless there is some major compression going on.

Parasyte2459d ago

Meh. Not to worried about it myself. Don't really care about the install size because I know I will enjoy the game.

On another note, the article (if you can call it that) reads like it was written by a child.

bloodbond2459d ago

It's not that surprising at all, people seem to forget that Blizzard is now endorsing destiny on their client and they are probably handling the compression this time (on the battle.net client). they have better compression technology for it.

Onslaught is certainly a lot of fun. Plus it's nice having a wide array of extremely useful weapons to grind for.

Been having a blast using The Mountain top as a traversal tool rather than a weapon
