GameCentral talks to Bungie about their blockbuster-to-be sequel, and complaints about the lack of new races or classes.
Whether it's entering a zen state during DPS or the rush of dopamine on its completion, Destiny 2's Raids excels in multiplayer teamwork.
A job listing published by the UK studio reveals that its next project will be another entirely new IP.
Outriders developer People Can Fly's next game has been canceled after its publishing agreement with Take-Two Interactive fell through.
"the capital group of PCF Group S.A."
If you're getting funding from a group that needs two different ways of Acronyming itself, things will not go the way you want them to.
Outriders was crap. They slapped that game together and threw in a loot system to get players' attention. This game was absolutely jank and the always online nonsense made it stutter like crazy. People Can't Optimize.
I liked Outriders but I could see where the artistic vision was compromised. The way the industry is now, it wouldn't surprise me that upper management would scrap something that didn't pull in money via gaas, mts, or other means.
"Okay, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t have added more classes, I’m not suggesting you remove the ones you’ve already got."
"DA: Like, it’s interesting for me as a player. I could’ve played a Hunter since day one, and whenever I look at some of the new sub-classes I’m like, maybe I should change to a Warlock. And then I have like this weird twinge where I’m like, ‘But I’m a Hunter, I can’t do that!’"
Embarassing answer.
I like these kinds of questions. Wish more journalists were more like this guy that talk about more complicated subjects.
Pretty obvious to me that the game is indeed just an expansion than an actual new game lol.
I love that the interviewer didn't just write another "fluff" piece. He asked him the harder questions. The questions that we the gamers want to know. And his answers highlight the main reason I'm still unsure about picking up Destiny 2. They didn't really add anything we requested. No true raid matchmaking. No new classes. Only a couple of planets. It just reeks of "cashing in". The hold back to make more $$ selling DLC.
In many ways the last 3 years of Destiny was a LONG ASS BETA. It seems like Destiny 2 should have been the Destiny we got, then maybe we wouldn't have had to forget all the hard work some of us did in continuing playing. I know that I will buy it, if not only to play online in PvE with my friends, like we did with the original Destiny. Moving to 4v4 for PvP isn't my cup of tea. That being said, when looking at the upcoming game Anthem from BioWare and EA, I may just look at a new PvE online experience.
First off, the journalist did an excellent job asking trivial questions that seemed to make Deej get all sweaty. The thing that worries me were the answers Deej gave, especially like the one referring to not adding more to the game. I don't know..after seeing the underwhelming E3 content, and listening to these god awful answers from destinys lead game director, it definitely makes me definitely less excited. Who knows, maybe that's a good thing...I really hope they don't screw the pooch on this one.
