No one wins in this situation, and both companies are worse off because of the combined failures. It’s a damn shame too.
Harmonix, best known for their work on the Rock Band franchise, has announced that they're becoming a part of the Epic Games family.

If you guys want to read an article where the author contradicts himself several times and then complains because he didn't educate himself on the product before buying, you've come to the right place!!
This article is 100% accurate. This new amplitude is horrible it is nothing like the the original and what I mean by that is, the original introduced me to bands like Garbage, the scenery was cool with bits of video in the horizon, this new amplitude is garbage. I played the demo and although I liked the new mechanics I hated these generics tracks. Can't cut corners in these kinds of games.
The biggest offender here by far was Rock Band 4. Part 4 was utter trash, straight from the sewer. It had ZERO innovations, ZERO differences to warrant a purchase and this made me extremely sad.
Guitar Hero by contrast knocked this thing straight out the stratosphere. If you don't have the money, don't make the damn game. You look like fools.
In fact RB4 is so watered down, you'll be lucky to get a taste of what it used to be. Hell it can't even tell the difference between male and female leads in a song.
Harmonix, you broke my f***** heart.
While I like GH online channels, at least RB made it more friendly with other players in the "band".
GH has a guitar and bass track, but it was the exact same music note track for both and it didn't give you a band feeling, not to mention the vocal tracks were non existent as well.
I bet you this writer didn't even play the game. He's just beating a dead horse because that's all that gaming journalism does. I wonder how much Activi$ion paid him to write an obituary for their competition?
I'm quite enjoying Rock Band 4, the only problem I have is the s**t show that is SCEE publishing the exports on time. Other than that the game is great craic for me and my friends to play or to play alone.
