Weird i feel the same way. I mean i don't know if i trust that guy to run a country but our country is so f'ed up right now obviously staying the course isn't the answer. That pretty much sums up the way I feel too. The country needs change and Trump isn't afraid to make that change. The fact he isn't in it for the money is also something we need, but as a businessman I could see that going either way. I would like nothing more than to see someone in office with the countries best interest at heart instead of focusing on other nations problems. We have enough poverty, hunger and debt of our own that needs addressed. I would rather see America lead by example instead of force. Fix the problems here and maybe other countries will respect the way we do things to make their own change.

What has stopped change in your country (Canadian, here) is the Republican party. Obama very well could have succeeded if he had a democrat Congress, not a stubborn bunch of old men unwilling to compromise because they are making millions from the exploitation of their own citizens. They all have their stocks in healthcare, oil, and other large industries. Trump will want to simply add to their fortunes, and them to his, the rich get richer under Republicans and its a fact.

If one thing can be said, it's that money, and power, are never enough. He will go from president to CEO/Owner of the US, he will not wish to ever relinquish his power should he be elected and just like his companies, it'll aaaaall be about two things: profit, and filing for bankruptcy. Of course their are safeguards to prevent this, but there were once safeguards on your personal privacy and rights...

Anyways, that's my 2 cents, take it as you will :) you guys have the say in that election, not me (got my own in October).

Trump isn't my favorite candidate, but im getting sick of the misconceptions about him. He NEVER said "all mexicans are rapists". He said the ones hopping the border and the ones getting deported by Mexico are bringing crime and disarray. As someone who lives in southern Texas, i can vouch. It is a serious problem. They work for cheap and out of the register so they don't pay taxes like the rest of us. Most of them know very little english too.

Im only 18, just starting college, so looking for a part time job and it's not easy when you got illegals that are willing to work for less than minimum wage. As for crime, it's hard to get any stats but in my personal experience, this close to the border, illegals are behind a fair bit. They're usually off the grid, and don't or pretend to not speak english, so even if the cops know they're guilty they send them back over to Mexico so they can hop the border again.

It's very frustrating and ive had friends move away because of the crime and the ignorance from 3/4 of the country to the issue makes it seem doomed to continue. Now the first time a nominee speaks up about it the liberal media twists it into racism to stir the masses. You live in Canada, dude, you don't know a damn thing about this issue, with all due respect.

There are the "mind their own business and make an honest living" illegals, most of which do manual labor that the citizens here aren't vying to do. Im not racist at all, these people should just go through the same process as every legal immigrant in the US. Along with better border control, we don't deserve to be Mexico's dumping ground.

And honestly, Trump is the only one i CAN see negotiating with China, etc. He's a successful face they can recognize, a business man they've probably done deals with before. You can't honestly say you see someone like Bernie or Hillary negotiating with China.

Just so everyone knows, "Conservatives" in the UK are far different than American Conservatives. The Tory party aka Conservatives are further left wing than American Socialist Democrats. The main difference between American and British conservatives is Federalism. British Conservatives are not proponents of historical rights like the United States Bill of Rights, and more specifically... the right to keep and bear arms. So long story short, UK gamers who don't believe in a person's right to own firearms and defend ones self are the overwhelming majority of players in crappy FPS games like Call of Duty.

In contrast, American Democrats claim to be "Liberal", but they have nothing in common classical liberalism and have basically hijacked the term. Liberal persons used to refer to those who engaged in free discourse, the free exchange of ideas, tolerance of other points of view (without necessarily approving of those views), personal autonomy, minimalist government with personal liberty, freedom to pursue happiness, health, occupation, and life in general. Modern liberalism is the polar opposite to these ideals and in many ways has embraced fascist tendencies.
Today, the term Liberalism has been hijacked and subsequently transmogrified in stages — utilitarianism, social welfarism, social liberalism, and finally and to speak more plainly, socialism. And, unfortunately, it appears that there is no turning back.

The Democrat Party was created in the United States as an opposition to Abraham Lincoln. Their purpose was to preserve slavery in the South. After losing the war, Southern Democrats founded the KKK and instituted Segregation across the region. They were the opposition to the 13th Amendment which ended slavery, 14th Amendment which made blacks citizens, and the 15th amendment which gave blacks the right to vote. They also voted against the civil rights act of 1866, 1871, 1875, 1957, 1960, 1964, and 1965.
After 1965 the Democrat party changed tactics. They couldn't keep blacks oppressed directly any longer so they decided to do it indirectly through government dependency, promising hand-outs in exchange for their votes. These welfare programs destroyed black families and their communities. In 1965 78% of all black children were born to married parents. Today it's less than 30%. Every single major black community in the United States is run by the Democrat party and every single one of them has gotten progressively worse since 1965.
The Democrats have intentionally kept blacks in crappy schools so they have crappy jobs, and continue to require government hand-outs... so they vote democrat and keep the party of slavery, segregation, jim crow, and the KKK in power.

Politicians swap political parties all the time. Liberal or Conservative could be either Democrat or Republican, no matter. Most Democrats were Conservative in before the 1960s. The Liberals took over the Democratic party during the whole Hippie movement, the conservative/pro-JimCrow/separ atist were forced over to Republican.

Listen what you say about the past may be factually true but your views and what you say are totally incorrect especially when talking about modern issues.

The reforms you talk about were put into effect to help the poor and not the African-American community. It's not like there aren't people of all ethnicities who receive government assistance.

And the fact of the matter is African-Americans have suffered under social and economic racism constantly even in the present where African-Americans get paid less for the same job as people of other ethnicities regardless of education level.

And up until the 70's'ish African-Americans were rarely able to obtain jobs of higher social status than garbage collection or factory worker. And i'd like to point out that a lot of these programs also provided stable good paying jobs as government jobs were equal opportunity employers who followed affirmative action policy becoming one of the few places at the time where African-Americans could reliably get employment that paid above poverty levels.

Instead of revisionist history perhaps you should learn something about the modern American Democratic party which is the FAR more inclusive of the two and take a lesson in the actual history of the government assistance programs you talk about why they were put in place and what the actual effect of them was.

Republican party was created on the March 20 th. 1854 in opposition to slavery. North & south states had slaves & it took much longer for the north to finally free their slaves. The 2nd civil war in the history of this country wasn't over slavery. It was over the north running the railway to the west which meant more sale , overcharging / pricing of goods , extreme taxes , differences of how political power opinions , the north believed that government should have power over the country / people & in the south they believed government power should begin with the citizens . If government should have ALL the power / control over a country then the north hasn't changed.
