Xbox Live Games with Gold for February 2015

For the month of February, Xbox Live Gold members will receive three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 as part of the Games with Gold program.

On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download #IDARB ($14.99 ERP) for free during the month of February.

On Xbox 360, starting Sunday, February 1st, Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through February 15th.

Then on February 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Sniper Elite V2 ($29.99 ERP) for free through February 28th.

I just got Shadow Warrior for like $5 or something. Worth it for sure especially since i loved the PC game from like 20yrs ago.

Free games is a given. You don't like one month try the next month with free games.

Most things are competition though. Without Live there wouldn't be Plus, without plus there would not be games with gold. Simple as that. Another lacklustre entry in GwG, don't really have a problem with IDARB but surely it's about time they start giving XB1 gamers a similar deal to what they give to XB360 gamers.

Be interesting to see what PS Plus get in Feb, with Injustice in December and Infamous First Light in Jan it has been a good couple of months, however I would;t be surprised if Sony loses the Xmas Cheers and goes back to just Indie.

If they advertise it as a feature you are inherently paying for it since that is now a "selling" point.

So no they don't "have" to offer the GwG, but they are the ones pushing it as a feature to the service.

Um... just to be clear, game selection notwithstanding, they have to give me at least what's advertised as part of their service, which includes "free" games. No, they don't have to be of any specific quality, but they do "have to give me" the games they advertised.

Side note: I signed up for PS+ when it first launched. I signed up for the games; there was no PS+ requirement for online. XBL Gold subbers were already paying for online, and were given GWG as a "bonus" to compete with PS+. PS+ subbers were already paying for the IGC, with the online requirement implemented only with the launch of the PS4. And since I spend an exponentially larger amount of time playing my PS+ games than I do playing online, I'll consider the online as the "bonus."

#idarb is great and yes just like dude said above,ive never payed full price for xbox live. Every black friday i buy 2 12+1 month cards for half off ($29.99). I've have xbox live for 10 yrs and for them to start throwing free games is a nice touch,im more concerned with a reliable online experience and that's what microsoft gives you.

Im starting to think, that the reason MS and sony are so keen to get indies is, so they can give us free games without it costing them an arm and a leg. I pay for live to play with my friends/party chat etc. Not to bothered about what they give for free, as I just about have time to play all my games anyway. I have shadow of mordor and FH2 and STILL have not gotten around to playing them...since buying them back in november.

I have PS+ and GfG. While I prefer PS+ and haven't touch any free games with X1 (simply because PS is my primary console), I don't complain. The games might not be my kind of thing but for some it could be something they always wanted to play. I love PS+ for giving me Duck Tales and First Light! Someday MS will give me something I like, too. No doubt about that.

Somehow people have come to the determination that Live Gold is a pay for free games service, it isn't. Its to support the ecosystem of the service and all it provides as well as cover server costs. Games are a bonus, that's all. PS+ from the beginning offered free games and it was part of the package. Both consist mainly of indie games but people here somehow have come to the conclusion that AAA games should be given away for free. This has certainly become a generation of entitled gamers.
