im in the beta, something i instantly noticed was my console was running quieter.

basically what happened when i played Rocket league was it made my fans louder when playing any game and this beta firmware has fixed it.

but the ps4 looks exactly same as it did before

Angeljuice3156d ago

It didn't grow legs and an antenna? I'm disappointed.

CPTN MITCHELL3157d ago

I really like the youtube streaming the quality is good and the delay is about 15 seconds..

Abriael3157d ago

Delay really depends on your upstream. Mine is enormous because I have bad upstream >_>

dantesparda3156d ago

Whats horrible, I only get 1mbit up.

Abriael3156d ago

they sell it as 1 mbit, but it's 800kbit effective.

dantesparda3156d ago

Lol, I know right, thanks for the laugh.

Shazz3156d ago

yeah its brilliant , im really loving the communities and we need a n4g one created by someone of high stand around here lol

Majin-vegeta3156d ago

There already is one.Just talk to Wearelegion below.Currently its only me and him.

WeAreLegion3157d ago

Love this update. Communities is a great feature. I just want folders now.

deadpoolio3163157d ago

Because its hard to go to library on the XMB where all the games are kept in alphabetical order? I mean I know its a tough scroll all the way right, and the difficult way it keeps the most recently played games right up front...Or even that daunting button press in setting to limit the number of items kept on the XMB making it even easier to get to library...

I have 85 games and have zero problems finding any of them in my library

Wow that's really condescending. If most people were like you, we wouldn't get half the features we are vocal about and be sitting at 1 gig of cloud storage still.

WeAreLegion3156d ago

Driving a horse and buggy wasn't terribly difficult, but I'm pretty glad they invented the car.

Do you see where your mistake was?

generic-user-name3156d ago

While I disagree with your attitude, I agree that the folders 'issue' isn't an issue for me, I think there are other things we should be asking for, cooler things, more ground breaking things, like shareplay for example. Shareplay is so much more interesting than folders.

But having said that...give me the ability to appear offline.

Shazz3156d ago

wouldnt think its about finding them buddy its more just so we can arrange stuff to our liking

WeAreLegion3156d ago

Here's the thing. It saves you a LOT of time putting these games and apps in folders. That's why folders exist. It's a pretty easy thing to implement. I can write it in a program pretty easily. Takes about a day. So, what are they waiting for?

I know you like wasting time, but some of us like organization.

Still dont see when someone signs in...but i can see when someone goes into a party chat. wtf. Get it together sony.

LA_Zeo3157d ago

At this point don't expect that feature no time soon if not at all. As the link showed with the update when you look at your friends list it shows the amount of players that are online. Before, you could tell already whose online just by scrolling to your friends list while knowing the total amount of friends you have. Now, with the update you have to have the PS app on your phone to know the actual amount of friends you have.

I'm also not understanding why seeing players sign-in can't be added to the notifications so at least you have the option to turn on or off that feature. Instead they put useless stuff that's already there just worded differently.

PSN store looks better. Liking the free games too.

Aenea3157d ago

PSN store looks exactly the same, has nothing to do with the 3.0 firmware...

PSIN4MANT3157d ago

The store was recently updated, that is what he is referring to.

Skate-AK3157d ago

When was the last time you were on? It changed in the US. Noticed it when I went to redeem my PS+ games.

Aenea3156d ago

People can disagree all they want, but the PSN store looks exactly the same as on the previous firmware... it has nothing to do with the 3.0 firmware...

Yes, it changed in the US but not just for 3.0 beta users, it changed for everyone and this was before the beta hit I believe. I don't know exactly when it was since I'm not in the US...

PizzaSteve3156d ago

I know it has nothing to do with 3.0. I'm just saying it looks better.

Such a good game to me. Crazy how different peoples opinions can get.

Crows9024m ago(Edited 23m ago)

For me it wasn't that surprising. There was some bad press before. There's also the matter and element of a person's disposition when trying out a certain game. Sometimes you're just not really into the type of game that you're playing so you put it down because you don't like it. Not necessarily because it's a bad game but because you're just not up for something like this. Reviewers have a tough because no matter what they feel like playing they've got to play what's releasing.

I have many times gone back to games that I put down only to thoroughly enjoy them the second time around because either there wasn't another exciting game coming out around the same time or I just had no other games to play and haven't played that type of game in a while. I'm not the type of person that can just play a souls game through all this iterations one after the other without getting burnt out on the formula.

In my opinion this game was great from the start. Some bugs here and there but nothing worse than the most AAA releases during the same time after and before. All I did was wait one week and I had a phenomenal time with the game. No other zombie survival game comes close to how I thoroughly enjoyed this one

Leeroyw25m ago

Second act of that game far surpassed the first. Which is why people felt it didn't live up to the hype of the trailers. Personally I loved it. But it was a slog to get your bike and weapons up to skill.

Inverno6m ago

Was gonna post a brick wall of text but I'll keep it short. Pardon my French but f**k the media for the hate they gave this game. If you have a PC to play it on you can get it as low as 10 bucks, and if you have a PS then it's a no brainer. Totally worth a play.
