I dont own the Xbox One, but I know there is definitely a market for it. It is the reason the PS4 is staying competitive, although I fail to believe when it was a champion. The PS4 will always be a winner in my books.

Completely misleading statement. The Playstation camera also has facial recognition, voice commands, motion tracking and it costs about $100 dollars less than Kinect. The article is a silly attempt at being impartial. If you're a fanboy, be one. Well Blaze is right, the idea from the author in regards to both cameras is that "The PlayStation camera is less impressive"...I use Kinect daily with my X1, I hear people online when playing multiplayer games saying "xbox record that", "xbox snap_ ", its very convenient when used with your cable subscription and party games like fibbagge, my wife loves it with xbox fitness app, etc. it's really a essential part of the whole X1 experience for many users and I think any neutral person looking at the specs and capabilities of both would draw the obvious conclusion that Kinect is more impressive tech than PS camera.

What the hell else do you think the author would mean? When you list a bunch of stuff one product can do, then say the other is less impressive, you're implying it can't do those things.

Top it off with listing TWO exclusives for PlayStation and then FIVE for Xbox, claiming that the XB1 outsold the PS4, lying about XBL having never been hacked, and the cryptic "not all games are released at full HDMI quality" line... I'm sorry, but how can anybody read this sorry excuse for an article and NOT think the author was a fanboy?

I think they're both pretty unimpressive. They're just cameras. The software is what makes it interesting, although not that much really. X1's software for Kinect is certainly more refined.

However, I do agree with hugs. Trying to play up the Kinect as a crowning achievement when bundled for $100 more than the base unit, despite still being cheaper to buy a base PS4 + seperate camera, and still get most of the same lame functionality no one cares about except the X1 die hard fans based on sales, is a bad attempt at trying to appear impartial.

Article also says that the X1 is "catching up"...which it technically isn't doing. it's just doing better than before, despite still falling behind.

I love my XBONE, it has way better games than PS4 for now. Will own a PS4 when Sony convinces me to buy one. But for now, MS is winning in the games dept, and their controller cannot be beat!

Only thing Sony is good at is being hacked/sued. The Xbox one in my house is Champion. Sitting proud on my tv stand. My PS4 is in the cabinet. With a dust cover over it.

It's sales aren't that average. It is still the 3rd fastest selling console in history. Just Wii and PS4 ahead of it. They just look mediocre because the PS4 jumped out of the gate much faster. PS4 and Xbox One sales are both ABOVE what was expected. I don't believe Xbox One will ever catch up but saying it's sales are average is not giving it enough credit.

The whole tone of this..."Xbox One: Still a champion", it's profoundly embarrassing. Just play what you want to play, stop defining yourself by the electronics you purchase, it's freaking bizarre.
Console wars, battle lines...even the language used is reminiscent of little kids playing soldier. I wouldn't call the x1 a champion because if it is, then the PS4 is a God. The X1 feels more like a product that was going to fail completely but entered in a process of changing every bad decision and copy the PS4 in almost every successful decision they made.

Now the x1 is having a little revival due to all the price cuts and free games they are giving. It feels like Microsoft decided to take a big loss and after so many failed attempts against the PS4, they now decided to take a big hit in order to move the PS4.

That doesn't feel like a champion to me.

Reading this article I see the same tired argument being argued again and again.

First of all: ‘Dead Rising 3’, all the ‘Halo’s’, ‘Killer Instinct’, ‘Forza’ and ‘Sunset Overdrive’.

The first game is on PC as well Killer Instinct and Sunset Overdrive will be soon to follow. The Xbox one is not a console that I would own in the long run. Since most of its "exclusives" are going to the PC eventually. There has only been 3 retail in house Xbox exclusives so far and they are Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, and HALO MCC.

And that's what it comes down to in the end. My preference is not superior to anyone else's. MS got my money ( again ) and it was a deal I couldn't pass up. AssCreed bundle, MCC and a year of Gold for $449. I still prefer PS4 but what sold me on getting another X1 was the Halo 5 beta footage. I'm sure most people will disagree with me but who cares.
