Wii U sells out in 3 minutes in eBay's Cyber Monday sale

Not only did the Wii U sell quickly during Black Friday weekend at eBay, eBay's Cyber Monday sale today showed an even greater demand for Nintendo's console.

It's even less than that. Some deal hunters used several eBay accounts so they can checkout 100+ items per order -- for reselling purposes.

It is considering its been on shelves twice as long. What does it take for you to admit it sells poorly? I mean really. I love the damn thing, but i cant deny we havent had a console sell this bad since the Dreamcast. 15 years of market growth later, it should not be selling that bad.

And the Dreamcast's shelf life was HOW long?

Either way; Nintendo is making a profit off of the system, not to mention they've been selling a steady stream of units from since MK8's release. We'll see just how "bad" it's selling after the Nov. and Dec. NPD results are posted.

But like I said - as long as N is making a profit, that's all that matters.

Did the Wii U even have any worth while sales this past week? I see all these posts about how the system did for Black Friday, but where were the killer deals to actually make customers solely go to the store for one like PS4 and Xbone. Nintendo is great and all but sales and deals are certainly one of their weak points

There were a few Wii U console bundle sales. As far as the Wii U games, there wasn't that many big ones on sale. If there was it was at a minimal discount. I found $10 dollars off Smash Wii U, Mario Kart 8 for $35, BOGO~40% where I payed full price for Bayonetta 2 and got Hyrule Warriors 40% off for around $35.

I know Best Buy had a bundle deal with SuperMario World 3D and Nintendoland plus Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart for $340 and Target had Wii U games buy 2 get 1 free.

I agree, there were not many Wii U sales when I looked. That was a bit disappointing as I suspect they could have put more consoles into user hands, increasing the base.

That being said, I'm wondering if there just weren't as many in the stores/delivered to stores, so there was no point in having a sale?

Downplay Wii U sales as much as you want but one thing you can't downplay is that Nintendo made money this Holiday. Although it's only one store my Walmart has been sold out of Wii U's since black Friday.
