Why Amiibos Lack the Magic of Skylanders and Disney Infinity

I see where this guy is coming from. However in the case of Super Smash I see the value as I am getting an AI fighter that learns from my move set, which in turn helps me to focus my skills. This may not be a great answer to everyone but I like it because it helps me to practice against my opponents and increase my skills to the tournament level I want

That on top of the fact that there is an ever-growing list of games that each amiibo on its own can unlock content in, which easily raises its value above the single-game-locked figures of Skylanders and Disney Infinite.
On top of that, the figures are pretty nice looking.
If anything, Amiibo's have more value to core gamers that enjoy many kinds of Nintendo's games, whereas Skylanders and DI's charms extend only to their specific titles.
When the rewards per Amiibo start counting as one more reason, per compatible figure, to get certain games, that's when you know you've made something that will be successful in generating revenue, for both the figures and the games they're enabled in.

But if they where essential they would accuse nintendo of seling incomplete games Just so sell the figures and get more money.. -.-

They're also new and the list of games keeps growing. Down the line when lots of amiibos have been sold Nintendo may make a game that requires them like DI and Skylanders. Perhaps the next version of Nintendoland or something.
