Who cares if it's an offshoot? It was a great offshoot. BC2 sold 12 million copies. The multiplayer is suuuuuper smooth with amazing sound and really fun game play and some of the best maps I've ever played in an FPS game. It's too good to ignore.
I thought about writing out why the question this article asks is stupid but then thought better of it. No need to point out the obvious.
I'd say it's more stupid today.
I'm a little confused. The community will play these games and vote on them and then if it's good enough it'll go through Valve approval? What is the approval for if people will already be able to play these games?
I'm all for anything that helps Indie developers who make good games get more exposure. Better for them and better for us.
I don't think they'll add guns to premium only. Not even the Premium members like myself would like that. It'd be a poor decision and would bite them. I personally don't like getting the content early and having exclusive things like camo. I'd be fine with this just being a pure season pass.
The pre-ordering the maps for people like me comes down to 2 things. Trust in the developer, and the fact that I wouldn't really know if I like the maps till I pl...
SFxTekken has pretty poor sales. This is essentially a Tekken game with a COMPLTELY different style. If done right, it could sell quite a bit better than the Capcom game I'd imagine.
Hopefully Namco treats their customers with respect unlike Capcom. Maybe if they do, and the game does well, other companies will take note and learn the proper way of doing things.
late bubble!
So true. Activision Blizzard, Valve, EA? Yea there's no publishers and developers trying to change the PC market. Although I guess they aren't trying to change it since it's still strong..
PCs also have exclusives, to say otherwise is just ignorant. WOW, Starcraft, Blizzard, Witcher, Witcher 2 used to be, every other MMO pretty much, and many others.
Now let's talk about the expense. PCs do tend to cost a bit more, BUT there's a lot more sales for games s...
@AgreeFairy I'm not implying that at all and you're missing the point. Let's say that they weren't on the disc, and they were developed after the main game and released for $20. I wouldn't really have much of a problem with Capcom then because that would mean they weren't holding back content from a disc I already bought. They're more than welcome to charge for more content developed after the game, but to sell me a disc, lock that much content up, and not even hav...
Finishing up Dark Souls, then Wither 2, then Max Payne 3. Add to that games like Spelunky, Limbo, Disgaea 3, Xenoblade and Last Story.. We're so spoiled.
Isn't the last of us not a 2012 game?
Not really. A lot of us average Street Fighter fans aren't supporting this DLC, and getting rid of this average game.
Except that you already have the 12 characters on your disc so you're paying them $20 to essentially unlock content you already have. The MK characters were developed AFTER the game came out and is actually true DLC at least. I'm pretty much boycotting capcom till they show their fans some love.
@limewax bow and arrows are your friends :) makes a lot of things sooooo much simpler. Doesn't add a lot of weight either so you can switch between your main weapon and a bow quickly and easily.
@xalmostPro I'm going to agree with nuketail. Both are good services, and both have their issues (speed, ads, etc.) but your poor experience on Gold was actually partly your own fault. You must have not bothered to learn some of the features such as getting rid of notifications, appearing busy/offline. Or you could just ignore party invites and tell your friends not to spam them. These are very simple solutions. If you ever decide to go back, this should make your time a bit more enjoyabl...
Surprised Moonlight Butterfly isn't in there. A very unique experience overall with that one.
Max Payne 3 came with the statue which I think is really nice, and was fully funded with spare change I've saved up at work from breakfasts and lunch over 6 months :)
Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger has some great openings. Super Mario RPG especially... I feel bad for anyone that missed this game.
You're really not getting my point.
No Final Fantasy XIII? That game.. sucked... so much.. for so many reasons..
