Microsoft are competing with Scuf controllers which can cost up to £170. When you look at it like that then it's not too bad since the Xbox Elite controller is of a better quality.

As Microsoft have already stated these controllers were designed and aimed at the top 1 percent of professional gamers and not the average Joe public.

You just don't fit the demographic it's aimed at and that's OK.

They're actually not to be honest. My son has a Scuf controller that cost me £150 and the Elite controller has better build quality. The paddle placement might suit some people better on the Scuf but everything about the Elite controller is better as far as I'm concerned.

However it is my opinion.

I've been using this controller for a couple of days now. Everything about it feels high end and luxurious. The way the parts interchange is slick and feels solid.

My controller came bundled with the Xbox Elite console so the controller isn't officially launched yet which means the app needed to reconfigure the paddles hasn't been released so not used them. It does take a few hours to get used to not pressing the paddles accidentally.

It's definitely gears of war. Microsoft wouldn't confirm it's exclusive to them anymore.

@wickedlester you have the same TV as me then. VT65b is the English version of the VT60. Im a heavy user and have had my TV on for 2000 hours since I bought it in May. Iv had static images on my screen for over 4 hours at a time and not a hint of IR. Perhaps it's something to do with variations of components used in different sets.I can honestly say IIv never suffered with IR on any plasma after 200 hours break in time.

Funny enough I have a 55VT65b and use THX cinema mode too. Iv not heard of many reports of IR problems with that set and certainly not my set. You must be very unlucky. The VT65b is stunning with no problems such as lag or IR. Did you get 5 years warranty?

Is it a brand new plasma? You won't get image retention once the TV has bedded in for over 200 hours. Image retention will also disappear after 10 minutes anyway. Only image burn last much longer but that is a thing of the past now.

Exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps they created it before a date change. I'm pretty sure that Morse code teaser website stated the 9th December. So it might of been for this?

@Ipad Valve has already stated that it will not develop any exclusive games for the Steam Machine. That would include HL3. HL3 will come out for X1, PS4 and PC.

This just proves that games don't make people evil and that its evil people that like playing games.

I decided to get a PS4 only a few days before it's release. I went to asda on Thursday afternoon at 5:30, waited by the till until 12 and I got mine straight away.I actually got mine before everyone else who preordered. The key was to get to a store early and wait.

The UK has more PS3 owners than Xbox owners. Not my opinion, just fact.

Of course yes hence why I made the statement. Why wouldn't anyone want a more powerful console due to server side support?

PC is too open. But SimCity on had server side calculations on a small scale. Sony and Microsoft have the network and hardware to support it. I will keep thinking that. In 3/4 years time you'll have to eat your own words.

In the near future XboxOne will use the cloud to perform a lot of non latency important calculations which will effectively make it up to 40 times more powerful than current generation. Lets hope PS4 does the same with there cloud service. Ultimately PS4 and X1 owners are gonna have eye melting games with believable physics and gameplay. Everyone wins.

Varity is the spice of life, but I hope there are not too many games upon release. Maybe two or three of each genre, otherwise there will be more games than people can afford to buy on top of the console, thus resulting in developers being hit in the pocket. Next year though, let them flood in :)

It's not age that makes you worse at playing games. It's not having the spare time you had as a teen to perfect your skills.

When I was at school and shortly after I was pretty good at multiplayer games, but that was because I put in over 8 hours a day playing them. Now I have a job, go to university and have a child. I simply don't have to time to put into games as I once did and it shows.

But at the end of the day the time I do get to play games...

I wish they would do this. Give gamers the option. Less eye candy and more fps or more eye candy and less fps. I think if they looked at the results of which option was most selected I think 90% of gamers would choose graphics and physics over 60fps.
