if you are a consumer and expect you highly anticipated device to work perfectly online from Day One then you are severely misinformed, that goes for PS4, Xbox One, GTAV, pretty much any big game software or hardware launch. mix a little bit of Buyer beware with a little bit of this happens everytime and there you have it.
I think that something should be done about the extemeity of crunch time but we need to keep in mind that no matter what industry you work in there is at least some form of crunchtime if we consider moments when employees likely have to work overtime as crunchtime. agreed, graphics have been seen as a more important aspect next to gameplay and creativity however I believe this generation the strong inclusion of indie developers will balance this out in a manner that can be profitable for the gamers this generation. Indie devs have taken a lot of the spotlight and more often than not will we see the best creativity and new ideas because indie devs aren't risking multi-million dollar budgets.

In my opinion Battlefield 4 needs to either stop wasting resources with single player or make a signle player that is actually decent and fun. For the most part Battlefield 3 single player was generic, boring, and uneventful. While the bad company series did a profoundly better job with single player I feel that it is in a place where they need to either go big or go home.

the benefit is a more expansive Vita library. Why buy a vita at all if most of their games are just ported to the PS3 for cross-buy?
Sound Shapes was a great example of this. A game that would have really given a lot to the vita gets ported to the PS3. by doing this the vita loses an exclusive and the library looks less impressive.

My real issue with the xbox one wasn't really their DRM but rather that they never really showed me a true benefit to requiring an internet connection. I still plan on buying one however it will be after a price cut
the digital future is way too far off and I feel the dawn of a true digital console will be maybe the 9th or 10th generation. people still buy audio CDs from the store in amounts reaching $220 million. 8 years o the ipod couldn't stop that. well seriously though the game is not meant to be realistic, that is like hating on unreal tournament for its unrealistic gameplay. this guy needs to freaking relax and take a chill pill.
