Are you on crack? This buggy POS crashes 2 or 3 times a session for me, even post DEC 3rd patch. It's awful how games these days get released but are not finished. Gone are the days of 60fps, near zero bugs games.
btw I mainly get the no sound on certain maps (ambient sound) and I get the loop sound/freeze crash allot. Patch did nothing.

The last gen shots (360) really don't look that far off the next gen console shots. I know they are way more powerful and capable, but the days of the jaw dropping upgrades (like when I first saw ps2) are done I think. I'm not blown away by ps4/xboxone even though they are WAAAY more powerful than their predecessors.

Great news! I still play bc2 online on my PC every day. It's just so much fun. Sadly bf3 for me turned out to be a waste of money. Sound was weak, destruction was crap, maps are crap, and the COD hit detection was garbage.

On a pure cost by cost hardware basis they probably are worth it.
Console makers usually take a loss for at least the first few years on their hardware.
For me, sadly this generation I won't be getting the ps4 at launch, I'm going to stick out my ps3 until the 4 has dropped $100. I still weep for my long dead launch ps3 (repaired twice then finally croaked) because my slim ps3 can't play ps2 games, and I play allot of old gen fighting games.
Pay to play is scandalous. I mainly online game on PC because controller is full retard (if your a PC gamer) but I do love fighting games so they have me over a barrel if I want to okay a freind online.
90% of rented games (no they are not free you don't keep them) are crap and I give no shits about, nor do I care about early betas or demos.
