I'm not really seeing any censorship here? Just a shift in priorities (more guest characters over DC mainstays)?

Pretty clear Bluebird became Red Hood at some point early in development. Constantine would've been a marvelous payoff given his vanishing act in the comics - same for Detective Chimp. I can kind of understand why Penguin didn't end up on the list though, given he's not exactly durable.

And I find this comment gives me a giant goofy grin.

I'd advise broadening your focus of games, as there are literally dozens if not hundreds of singleplayer focus games released monthly. Look on Steam, look on PSN, look on XBLIG/XBLA, look on Desura, and just Google for crying out loud! Singleplayer never died, the implication that has is a foolish one.

While I agree that multiplayer is a good thing and should be encouraged in games, you're talking about it like it's impossible for a game to succeed without it. Absolutes don't work in this industry, you have to be flexible to what your audience wants. Voice chat was severely limited in Killzone 3 due to most people not having microphones as well, and while it didn't help the game in any way, it also didn't severely hurt it. Party chat was available for Shadow Fall, and wa...

Decent review, interesting that this is the first time I've heard someone comment negatively on Shay and positive on Vella... glad to finally hear the flipside though!

I'm doubtful of this, sorry OP. I'd sooner believe those rumors Microsoft outsourced a Halo 3 + ODST PC port and plan on a 2014 release.

Easy? Really? Have you tried playing Challenge Mode on Normal or Hard?

It's almost like there are people who prefer GAMEPLAY to SETPIECES that are nothing more than a fancy scripted event.

Who'd a thunk it?

So long as they produce as satisfying a shooter as Spec Ops, the F2P game aught to be worth playing. As much as people failed to recognize it, Spec Ops' multiplayer was more a game of stealth and squad tactic focused third person shooting instead of the run and gun experience they thought they were in for (so as a result, most people just gave up on it).

Hmm... I'm very curious as to what new singleplayer game they'll make, though. Spec Ops: The Line was almost a...

This isn't a movie tie in? It's just basically a midquel between Alien and Aliens? And it is an original story focusing on a character we've never really heard or met before? Did you read the article, I thought I at least made it clear it was set between Alien and Aliens.

...what in the name of Qwark did I just see? Seriously, a runner game tie-in?

Thank you. I'm glad you count TGE amongst those ranks, as we really do want things to be back to the days of honesty and fairness. I hope our editorials and reviews continue to please!

@MRMAgoo123 & SNACK_SHARK_TROLL

It's not just you guys. I've been trying out MP now that it's more stable (originally I couldn't even play it, hence the review being singleplayer only). I know exactly what you're talking about. So far only two maps or so seem built for squad tactics, the rest are more like a level from Crysis, but you're one of the regular mooks instead of the one in the super suit.

At least there's always Batt...

There's a big difference there. Max Payne is built as a homage that also was one of the earliest games to have bullet time, and feature a far more dynamic third person combat system than most games offered.

Uncharted is built on a stilted pile of stereotypes, under-developed archetypes (something I originally didn't think possible), and a generally feeling that the player is not even really important to the equation. It wants to be a movie, it really truly does, and t...

Save for the co-op... pretty much. It's not like it lacked polish but I'm not blown away by set pieces and storytelling that's built on obvious cliches that Michael Bay would scoff at. Once those elements are taken away, what's left to see? A fairly basic TPS with auto-pilot platforming. The bit with Tenzin (I think that was his name) was nice at least.

I say this as a guy who generally hated all the Uncharted games besides Golden Abyss -- this looks cool! Seriously, I'm actually kind of excited!

...actually I called Ryse crap before it ever came out and have a PS Vita, PS3, PS2, PC, and Wii. Also, it's not my job to agree with awards given. People liking something doesn't mean I do, and saying I did just to please popular opinion would be extremely dishonest. And it's not like I didn't like the game, I just addressed issues I found in it. If it weren't for the hiccups, it'd be a solid 8, and considering on TGE 5 is Average instead of 7, I'm still giving th...

Irony being that I'm actually a big fan of most of Sony's things. I think if any overall Sony fan is upset, they should wait on my upcoming Ratchet & Clank reviews before believing me to be an "Xboner" or "Nintenerd", or whatever other names they've come up with.

As for Naughty Dog fanboys... there's nothing I can do there. They don't want to hear anything I have to say in relation to ND this generation, although I do still look for...
