I had no problems on my iPod Touch 4g, which I reviewed this on. No problems online either. The controls are definitely hard to get used to, but that's the way it is with all smartphone FPS games.
Yeah I'm excited to see what kind of changes they've made to the series, I'd love to see the same level of innovation as from AC1 to 2.

That would be awesome, but I think the whole reason they had to update it is because they don't own the rights to those likenesses anymore.
