Similarly I still have a Gamecube copy of Origins. Alas, I never did beat it since it was a two disc game that committed the cardinal sin of putting a boss right at the start of the second disc, creating a point of no return wall. Was absolutely kicking myself for not remembering to save in a different slot for the disc change. That said, it was a very very fun game up until that moment lol
When people think of most phones, they tend to be thinking of flagship devices, and you may want to look into how powerful the average flagship phone actually is at this point. What I'm typing this comment on puts the Switch to shame in terms of raw performance potential.
What a step forward. Remember back when the PSVR1 came out, and it included a fair volume of demos out of the box. One was Drive Club VR and it was a nausea inducing machine. Now we have a day one racing experience again with the PSVR2, and it's felt it defines what it means to have a VR racing game. So much learning has clearly happened.
Remaster of a remaster that they couldn't even bother changing to run at 60 FPS, which by the way it did on the Gamecube. Truly some level of effort maybe probably went into this.
The Vita is an amazing handheld. Feature rich, capable, and generally quite comfortable to hold. Very worth hacking today to get everything out of it.
Shoutout to one of the classic Nintendo lies back when they were saying the Switch wasn't replacing the 3DS before the Switch launched. Then the Switch actually launched and suddenly the 3DS was getting next to zero new games.
It's just pitiful that nearly six years since the Switch launched, that sixth anniversary not even a month away, and this is the best they can do. It really speaks to the low standards of many that a few GBA games suddenly made the expansion pass worth the money, or that a smattering of GB/C games is cause for celebration.
I get we all like to say Nintendo is more companion than competition to Sony and Microsoft, but it would be nice if Nintendo saw themselves as compet...
Ah yes, and small indie company Microsoft could not possibly navigate such things. Glad someone is here to give them an excuse.
Doesn't Microsoft already have a system for authenticating discs to allow the download of enhanced versions? If this was a third party here I would get it, but there is no real excuse when you're a Microsoft first party studio.
Well at this point Microsoft can't exactly claim this is exclusively Sony trying to deny them the ability to compete, which forever remains a stupid argument for their inability to maintain any level of quality in their exclusive content.
I installed CFW ages ago, spoofed the firmware number, blocked official updates, and even made purchases from PSN after. Sony really doesn't care what you do with hardware they no longer support.
The disagrees on this are weird. Do people just deny the objective fact that certain Sony first party games have become pioneers in software based accessibility in video games? Like this whole advancement regardless of company should only be something to celebrate anyways.
Welcome to the Silksong waiting room. It's comfortable here.
I mean, you can want something new in a series while not actually liking the direction the new ultimately goes in. Your comment seems to imply a lack of structure open world method was the only direction to take the series in at all, which is weird to me. New can take many, many forms.
Had a stream going on the side last night and the streamer was doing fights in these big outside arenas. The game was regularly dropping to maybe 10 FPS if I'm being generous. Really choppy even in the battles at that point. It was inexcusably bad and unfortunately you're bang on about the fact that these games will be blindly bought regardless. Even the biggest critics of Pokemon have already dropped their $60 just so they have something fresh to complain about.

This is basically how I see it. Unless you desperately need validation that you played a good game in a given year, The Game Awards is more about announcements and reveals. It's like a conference showcase with extra steps.
You can actually see what he looks like. It isn't as if they didn't model his face, and you can manipulate the camera and settings to get a very clear look in this DLC.
Initially it was just because first person. For this it was more to be slightly humorous like with the "face to face" line and such. Childish really doesn't feel like the word you wanted either way though.
Ya sure? Console hackers and cheaters straight up finally got the Little Big Planet online services across multiple games shutdown, and that's just one example. I'm sure plenty of people have stories of getting killed by obvious aimbots, getting stuck in hacked lobbies, getting punished for being given hacked goods, and more, all in console games.
Plus as other comments note, it isn't as if this magically stops cheating. It just makes it marginally inconvenient ...
Yeah, this is completely in line with expectations. Nice and all, but it would more be news if a game like Diablo IV couldn't hit these targets.
