It should make him feel better, this go around they should be on the same level from a graphical standpoint. The Xbox one, was underpowered compared to the PS4, that won't be the case this time. Now they just need to deliver the games.
I'm cool with this no issue at all, but I understand why people want their built in batteries with a charge cable. Reality is you can't please everyone what I prefer may not suit you and vice versa.

Very interesting to see ps fanboys supporting the port, figured that with all the hate MS receives for doing this, that they wouldn't be this supportive. It's not day one, but I'm sure that's coming next if this really pans out.

I'm willing to bet that if Sony was doing the same thing with PS5, the reception would be very different. We would see many ps fanboys praising them for not abandoning their fan base. I don't see the negative in this at all, if hellblade 2 is anything to go by the old consoles will not hold back the new hardware.
I played it wayyyy back when, and it was fantastic, unfortunately due to a ps2 issue I was unable to finish it. But I would definitely play a legitimate remake of the game.
I don't see it as a negative, IMO if Sony did this with the PS5, I see zero negative to it. MS is telling me as a consumer that if I own their console, they'll continue to support it after their next gen system is released. Can't see the downside. What will be interesting is if MS can still push their new console while catering to the old gen.
Ok metro Exodus, Forza Horizon, gears of war 5, tomb raider, outer worlds was day one the service is worth the money there's plenty to choose from
