A lot of people are unhappy that FFXIII is continuing with the spins offs dlc and part 2/3/4 and so-on, but the fact is that FFXIII was one of the most profitable FF games of all time for Squeenix and broke sales records in Japan.
SE is a Japanese company, FF is a Japanese franchise... if you think that's gonna change and they will all of a sudden start catering for the west as their main selling point then button up and wait for the long haul, cause you will be waiting f...
I have to agree with you that the trailer did look rather good. But my worry is that Call of Duty games always look like they are going to be great before they are released and then I just end up being disappointed. At least that's how it was with Black Ops and MW3.
Graphics are at such an advanced stage now that next gen all games will be at the same level graphics wise. For developers to be able to show games apart from each other they will need to improve other things such as NPC AI. An improvement in all the small things (rather than superficial graphics) is the difference between a game that is crap but has amazing graphics and a game that has amazing graphics and is an amazing game. With the improvements the next gen of consoles will have, develope...
I never liked any of the Kinect only games and would probably never use it for stuff like Mass Effect or Skyrim. If they released some good games for it on the next console I would consider it but doubtful this gen.
I don't think Rockstar honestly gives two monkeys about when people think they should release their game and will do it when THEY want to.
Have you tried THPSHD on the 360? Best levels from 1&2 with HD visuals and multiplayer.
I'm a mixture of both. I download all my PC games, from Steam (sales usually) and indie bundles. But console games I mostly buy the hard copy, but not from a store. Usually online.
I pre-order most of my games from Tesco, they usually lower their price a week or two before release for a few days and have a price promise for pre-orders. The only thing I ever buy from GAME is the occasional pre-owned game and even those I buy online. Can't remember the last time I was actually in a GAME store.
I think your right to en extent but downloadable games and content are at an all time high sales wise and are also a major part of the problem for the stores. It all adds up to sad days for retailers.
Just found this contest blog... *facepalms*
It's published and sold in UK only. GamesMaster was originally a TV show, the first ever in the UK to be solely dedicated to video games. The show continued as the magazine was first published in 1993 when I was 6!
You may have heard of its sister publication Edge?
My friend made the mistake of starting on hard also, think he's regretting it now but says he's enjoying it too much to start again.
FFXIII was a hard slog but I enjoyed it in the end... it just took a while to get there.
From the outset Square Enix look like they have really listened and taken in what the fans wanted from part 2. With the change in tone and improvements to gameplay I think this is going to be a cracking addition to the FF series!
Only time will tell.
It was a question not a statement. That's what the article is for, to find out if it is, which its not...
Other MMO's take time to release large amounts of content at once instead of little bits every month, which method seems more confident to you? As it turns out at the end of the article I say that It's not just half hearted content but a good way of keeping the player base happy.
I'm actually writing another article on F2P MMO's but although there are some great F2P MMO's out there, I didn't feel that any of them would be inside my top 5 mentioned in the article.
Wish my PC wasn't a pile of turd otherwise I would have bought this a long time ago. Waiting for the 360 release
f1 2011 looks to similar to the previous years game for me
