I thought while GT was the better simulator and technical impressive, I felt that Forza was the more fun game at release.
Now GT has just keeps better with updates and continued dev support, but I'm still an arcade kind of racer at heart.

You know when PS3 started getting good? When Sony stopped marketing it as a everything box and began focusing on games again.

People liked Heavenly Sword, and begged NT for a sequel.
NT arrogantly said that it's not worth their time because it didn't sell enough. And It's still their best selling game.
Then NT talked crap about Uncharted 2's animation (yeah, goty Crazy awards Uncharted 2) while claiming their own game Enslaved was better. And while I like the game, it can't compete with Uncharted and flopped hard.
Then NT ignores the DMC fanbas...

FFVI was my favorite, but that does not mean PS1 and PS2 era FF's aren't brilliant also.
It was their sustained greatness through three platforms for me that made FF my favorite franchise at the time.

Demon's Souls is my favorite game this generation.
I like Dark Souls, but it definitely has a different feel then Demon's Souls.
Even though DaS has some improvemens (imo) like the poise system, I like DS' story, soundtrack, and atmosphere better.

Rumor has it Sony was actually building a pool of PS2 disc-based games to actually run on non-bc PS3's before they found out that they could double-dip with HD remasters.
