That's the best thing about a console: just turn it on and play. But I think once you see games on max settings/higher resolutions/60FPS+ it's hard to go back. That's what happened with me anyway after being happy with a Wii for years and then being blown away after having a go on a mate's crazy PC.
But as you say if you just want to turn it on and play and not have to deal with tinkering to get it just right consoles are much better.

If you are wanting the best graphics possible then PC is the superior platform; belief has nothing to do with it. Bizarre comments. I am a PC gamer and the reason I have no interest in the Sony/Microsoft consoles is that they are just weak gaming PCs and I want to ramp the graphics up to '11'. That's not to say there's anything wrong with consoles at all as they are a great choice if you can't be bothered tinkering.

It isn't and you are showing how little you know with that comment. The only thing that is playing 4K well at the moment is a top of the line PC with sli 1080s/Titan X's which the PS4 Pro is nowhere near as powerful as.
I've got a single 1080, but even that isn't enough for high settings/60FPS at 4K on recent games.
Battlefield is hardly the only FPS in town. Planetside 2 is far superior in every way except for graphics and has just got Command and Conquer style base-building added to it. I played BF1 for a couple of hours before getting bored out of my mind by the small scale and repetitive fighting over the same points.
The last Battlefield game I enjoyed was BC2 and it's been downhill since then.
Of course it won't, it's EA. They will spam it with DLC for 12 - 18 months before hyping the next game.
