You are an ignorant person, who fails to do his research before making accusations at a group of people.

For your information, Famitsu gave Halo 2 and Halo 3 roughly 38 or 39 out of 40 for their reviews. HOW is that being anti-Western gaming? Elders Scroll IV: Oblivion also scored extremely high, as well as Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (for PS2). So clearly you haven't done your research.

Anyone else think the game looks similar in style, graphically, to Eternal Sonata for the Xbox360? Makes me more hopeful that Tri-Crescendo and NAMCO BANDAI will port the game to the PS3 :D

is NOT part of the 1UP team. Official Playstation Magazine (OPM) was part of 1UP though, and that was discontinued recently due to each issue being expensive (mainly because of the demo discs).

PSM is an UNOFFICIAL gaming magazine, and it was ALSO the one that claimed Killzone PS3 in 2005 was real-time...

When Killzone, aka "KIN" initially, was shown for the first time to gaming journalists in Europe (behind-closed-doors btw), one of the gaming journalists was impressed by the PS2 tech demo (yes, it was a tech demo at the time), that he shouted out that it was a "halo killer".

In conclusion: Sony nor Guerilla Games NEVER hyped Killzone as a "halo killer". It was the gaming media.

P.S. Personally, based on the gameplay videos shown so...

You clearly haven't researched ANYTHING factual about Sony's PS3 at all.

"Say one without Blu-Ray?"

More and more PS3 games and MULTI-PLATFORM games are utilizing the greater amount of space on a Blu-ray disk. Some examples:

1. MGS4 creator Hideo Kojima has stated a year ago that a 50 GB Blu-ray disk may not be enough for MGS4.
2. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for PS3 will have greater details (graphically and content wise) due to t...

Dan Hsu, one of the EGM reviewers, is KNOWN to be a XBOX fanboy, and he ALWAYS criticizes anything SONY. No wonder LAIR go so low.

Blue Dragon never looked great to me. I saw a lot of gameplay videos, and the environment detail looks like it can be done on the PS2. The difference is how "fluid" the animations are. Lost Oddysey looks way better (and their both done by the same developer).

Toshiba being a technology partner of Nintendo means absolutely nothing if Nintendo chooses to adopt Blu-Ray. Toshiba does not have the right to threaten to remove their components for the Wii if it does happen.

Plus, you're forgetting that Sony, IBM, and TOSHIBA collaborated on the PS3's CELL CPU. Does that mean Toshiba can stop Sony from adopting Blu-Ray? Of course not. Toshiba, like all other companies, understands how the business world works. Just because you partner up wi...

I also recall an article stating that MS will adopt Blu-Ray add-on drive if it wins the format war. I THINK it was Peter Moore, but I'm not too sure.

of all the Sony reps, Jack Tretton is my least favourite. He's making a lot of statements recently that give Sony a negative or misleading image. I think Phil Harrison should be the ONLY Sony representative to talk to the media, since he has the cleanest record.

Personally, I don't mine the Wiimote and nunchuck attachment. They have just enough buttons and features (a.k.a. motion-sensing and rumble) to be a great controller for most games.

However, what rubs me off about Nintendo nowadays is their constant release of a whole bunch of gimmicky "attachments":

The "Guncon", which is a near-exact copy of NAMCO's Time Crisis controller, is merely a piece of plastic that looks like a "gun" and you...

Play B3YOND your television, by transforming your PS4 controller in order to play BEYOND the TV. XD

Props to the person who made the PS3 Transformer controller! (Though it looks kinda ugly due to the plastic material they used. I would've loved to see a video of the transformation!)

It's another troll. And the Xbox360 N4G users wonder WHY they hate trolls on their section? XD

To note, the PS3 is without a doubt the most advanced gaming console right now. Specs-wise, I mean.

The CELL CPU was co-developed by SONY, IBM, and TOSHIBA, and over $200 million USD was spent to create it. The Xbox360's tri-PowerPC cores took SIGNIFICANTLY less to research and create. It also performs less GFLOPs than the CELL. Of course, Microsoft wanted to safe money...

I don't know if the 13-15% data is correct or not, but if it IS true:

Then out of the 4.48 million PS3s sold, then 580 000 to 670 000 PS3 owners purchase Blu-Ray movies, which is still pretty significant.

Of course, I've learnt not to trust these market research, since the research is not reliable and depends on WHERE they ask their questions. It can be possible that they surveyed PS3 owners who don't buy Blu-Ray movies.

Also, I find it hilarious t...

...but I should point out something interesting:

The PS2 sold 110 million units (and counting) within 7 years.
The Xbox sold 20 million units within 6 years.
The GC sold 17 million units within 6 years.

So, breaking down into ratios, PS2 sold 15.7 million units per year. Xbox and GC combined don't even come close to that annually.

So if PS3 manages to achieve 10 million units per year, then it's a pretty safe bet that they will be ver...

It's been a while since I've seen you comment, you troll.

I completely disagree: the Xbox360 IS NOT in the same position as the PS2. The PS3 ain't either. Right now, the Nintendo Wii seems to be replacing the PS2's position.

Here's something you should know:

PS2 was 10 million units ahead when the Xbox and Gamecube launched years ago. That gap only WIDENED (110 million (PS2) vs. 20 million (Xbox) vs. 17 million (GC)).

If the Xbox360 ...

You bring up a lot of points, but there are a lot of things you don't understand:

"I have a suspicion that at least half of the PS3 owners today are buying them for blue ray movies only. If that’s the case, Sony’s game studios can pack it up."

There's no evidence indicating that half the PS3 owners bought the systems SOLELY for Blu-Ray movies. Be careful in making such an assumption. And it's highly likely that you're wrong. Remember, there are over 110...

Microsoft admits to its mistakes? Are you kidding me? It took them OVER A YEAR to admit the significant amount of defective Xbox 360s! 25-30% defect rate is not to be taken lightly, yet MS purposely and consistently claimed the defect rate was "very small". 2.5 million units defected is NOT small. That's essentially 25% of the Xbox360 owners right there, and puts the case of 10 million units sold in doubt. No one knows if those 10 million units include the 2.5 million or not, except...

And for your information, which you certainly lack of, HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs both can support the same codecs and encoding of movies, shows, etc.

HD-DVD companies tend to use the more expensive encoding (which I don't recall the name of atm). Meanwhile, a lot, but NOT ALL Blu-Ray co...

People are forgetting that the PS2's initial year didn't have a fantastic lineup of games. In fact, the good games, such as GT3, came out in the second year.

However, in the PS3 generation, we are seeing a significantly greater amount of AAA PS3 exclusives coming out in its initial year. Let's list the currently released AAA PS3 titles:

Resistance: Fall of Man
Motorstorm
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Virtua Fighter 5

Now, let's look at th...

I just checked the PSN Store several times right now, and I don't see any updates today :(

I'm in Canada, so does the N.A. PSN Store include Canada, or does Canada have a separate PSN store?

Arrgh!!! I've been waiting to play Heavenly Sword since E3 2004, and I'm going nuts D:

EDIT: Oh! Snap! It's on NOW! :DDDDD
