I think a good use for this may be, for someone like me who builds gaming rigs every 5 or so years, and has TONS of spare parts and Frankenstein computers laying around
I could have steam os on my next new build, no need to shell out for windows license
and then simply have a low power build for work reports, office type junk, web browsing, email etc.

its like everyday there is less and less reasons for me to buy a new console
the only thing that even exists currently on any next gen consoles that actually interests me is deep down
and, with that being free to play, I am skeptical at best, plus, hopefully it just comes to pc so I can play it in way higher resolutions with more graphical effects
steam is going to pave the way for next gen again, they are always a generation ahead of console...

the controls seem clunky, the visuals are terrible and the voice acting is cringe inducing

everything I have seen with this game looks like a mini-game or some free to play flash game or an indie title that should cost no more than $5

looks nice and crisp, but there is very little in the environment, personally I prefer that, make the game look clear and crisp, with no jaggies
who cares if there isn't a ton of things on screen
I still think splinter cell looks far better, on pc at least, but its coming along, certainly a HUGE step above mgs 4

who is honestly going to buy both and well spend over $1000 to game in in sub-1080p with pretty much current gen visuals and then pay another $1000 for 8 years to play the damn things online and then buy $65 games that will cost you over $6500 if you only buy 50 games for each system (that's about a game every other month for each system)
so, the average gamer is looking at $8500 over the next 8 years for owning each system than cannot even play BF4 in anything above low-...
the pc version needs to be shown, on xbox1 it looks last gen

I want high fidelity in EVERY game I play
I have a ps3 and 360 if I want crappy graphics
lets face it, ps4/xbox1 do not have what it takes to even run bf3 in 1080p at high settings, let alone very high or ultra
of course bf4 is gonna look weak on them
be happy you get a tiny bit above 720p and 64 players, that's a miracle with a 1.6 ghz cpu and a laptop gpu
if u want the best version, obviously get pc!
