Well said...
It looks like Nintendo tried to combine their blue ocean strategy which was successful with the wii and also appeal to the 'hardcore' market. What we have is Nintendo floating around on a life raft... Lost at sea.
IMHO, Nintendo will not sell a massive amount of Wii Us. Numbers will sure rise with their big releases, but I doubt they will achieve previous success. Third party is already lost and I don't see support coming back... Especially when development of ...
Do you use gamefly? I have the two game plan and use it for games exactly like this... It really allowed me to play every game that interested me on the ps3, wii, wii u, 3ds, 360, and now ps4.
I wonder when they would of hit a profit if they wouldn't have forced that crap multiplayer...
Totally agree... There was one spot in the beginning of the game where the objective was like 300 feet away and I was walking around mindlessly for about 15 minutes... But to be honest I didn't mind. I had just set up the ps4 and was enjoying just checking out the lighting, textures, and whatnot.
On the bright side... Things should only get better from here on out.
2nd party seems to be the way to go with Nintendo... Especially if they continue to release consoles not up to par power wise with Sony/xbox.
Imagine a world where Nintendo had 1st party and 2nd party developers devoted to certain genres?
Mature themed studio, sports studio, multiplayer game studio, etc. I can only think of the awesomeness that would ensue if Nintendo released an exclusive fps multiplayer focused game.... With that Nintendo quality.

7-8 out of 10 scores seem to be the norm with this game... And I would agree with it. Am I the only one enjoying the single player? I'm playing it on hard and actually enjoy the difficulty... Keep in mind I come from the days of 'Nintendo Hard'. Also, I don't think the platforming is THAT bad. I haven't had trouble with most of these parts. Multiplayer is a blast in my opinion... A nice change of pace compared to cod and bf4.
It's a given that games will need more time as graphics, physics, and AI get more complex... I'm a bit ignorant to the development process of games, but shouldn't this level out as more and more complex engines are introduced as this generation proceeds?
I know 8-10x longer is most likely blown way out of proportion.
Seriously... This hate on the wii u makes me feel sorry for those who have missed out on some great games... And will continue to do so. I get it if their stuff isn't exactly your cup of tea, but you can't deny the fun associated with Nintendo. I'm glad I went with the ps4/wii u route. I get my 'hardcore' fix, while also getting high quality, fun, different, local co-op laugh out loud experiences with my friends. I'm a happy camper... That doesn't camp.
2014 is shaping up to be an excellent year not only for the Wii U, but for gaming as well. SSB, MK, X, and and Donkey Kong. I'm a little iffy on Hyrule Warriors as the Dyanasty Warriors franchise just seems boring to me... Here's hoping to some variation in gameplay. The title that has me the most pumped for 2014 is 'The Division'... That game looks sweet.
The Wii U will be my go to for local multiplayer. My friend's and have been doing 'game nig...
Big, bulky controller? I need to disagree with this statement... I was very surprised as to how comfortable the controller is. Further, I don't have a sticky R1 button like on my dual shock 4. Yes, I take care of my things. No, I don't jack off before playing my ps4.
While I will most likely be predominantly gaming on my PS4 this generation, the Wii U will act as a great secondary console (hell, mario 3dworld took me away from my ps4 a week after it launched for a ...
How about letting us play online matches with a guest on the same console. It is beyond me how they dropped that feature. I would have left that game on the shelf had I known this to be the case with the Ps4/xbone. EA are such scum because you know this feature will be in the World Cup edition.
I got into MMO's a little bit last year... I have since then stopped as I can't stand playing on windowed mode with the settings on minimum... With that said, I was quite pleased with guild Wars 2's free to play model.
This game is absolutely awesome and is my game of the year. I found myself playing alone laughing and having a jolly good time... Something you just don't experience with a lot of games. The level design is impeccable. My comment history shows that a while ago I called BS on this being a strong game of the year candidate and was touting TLoU as game of the year... This was before 3D World came out and was going off of the trailers. After playing both, I must retract my statement and now...
I like it because it's a nice change of pace from the twitchy military shooters that are out. It's kind of like a mix between COD and Halo in regards to the fact that it takes more bullets to take someone down. I like the fact that if you shoot me first I can still beat you based on skill. There is also no auto target. The classic war zone mode is awesome. One round where the objectives switch five times between death match, capture the flag, domination, search and destroy and wh...
I honestly believe Nintendo would do something like that to differentiate themselves from the competition. Remember, Nintendo is not competing directly with the other consoles (so they say)... But as I said, I think Nintendo should at least attempt some parity when it comes to the power of their next console compared with the other consoles. I own a ps4 and Wii U at the moment. What console do you think I'm playing ACIV on? Hint, it's not the WiiU.
Nintendo will (should) be fine. Their first party line up alone should entice people to buy the Wii U as their catalog grows. With that said, it's my opinion that Nintendo should have never put themselves in a position to have the masses question their ability to provide a comprehensive gaming experience. Here are a few things that I think Nintendo should do.
1. At 30 years old, I grew up with Nintendo as many of you have. Nintendo should realize that a portion of th...
To invite go to the battle log. Then go to the friends tab. When you highlight a friend it should have an option, square I believe, to invite them. The problem is that you're brought to the ps4 ui to invite. You return to a frozen bf4. I found the best way to get up with your friends is to have one join a map with 5 open slots. The people who want to join can then do so from the main multiplayer screen showing what maps your friends are on. Then... When your friends go into the gam...
I'm having serious issues on the ps4. Bf4 doesn't read my controller Input when I press the home
Button and return to game. Everything moves on screen, It just stops reading my controller. Also, my game freezes after I try to invite someone to a game via the battlelog. Both of these are very frustrating.
This game has wii u written all over it. Especially if they maintain the camera mechanic. I can also see the DS4's motion capabilities doing a great job mimicking a camera.
