Gamer.no: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Review

Gamer.no writes: "That said, there are certainly many who will love the game, and I can definitely accept it. There are many good things here, but I feel nevertheless that this should be much better. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is in my book a classic, and a milestone within the gaming medium. The same will never Uncharted 2: Among Thieves be. Sad, but true.

the extent people go to get hits... its pretty sad

Microsoft Xbox 3605733d ago (Edited 5733d ago )

They don't do it to get hits, they do it because it's a PS3 exclusive. It's simply a biased website.

menoyou5733d ago (Edited 5733d ago )

They're obviously doing it for hits. Don't hit their site, in fact don't even comment here or visit this page again. Just report as "Lame" and never look back.

"the extent people go to get hits... its pretty sad"

This.

jjohan355733d ago

Another Microsoft employee's gaming site? LoL.

ultimolu5733d ago

I come back from four hours of NGS2 (that game is freaking awesome and tough btw) just to see this garbage site.

Desperation lingers. The haters want this game to drown in unjustified scores!

I don't even care. This game is still a Day One purchase like NGS2 was.

Consoldtobots5733d ago

some of the most annoying fanboys this generation ALWAYS use the same language, funny isn't it?

"just accept it"
"sad but true"
"you PS3 fanboys"
"sorry PS3 fanboys"
"The PS3 has no games"
"PS3 owners are in denial"
"the PS3 is dying"

im sick of all these stupid retards.

InfectedDK5733d ago

I respect their oppinion.
That said I myself played the multiplayer beta yesterday and I could actually see myself going back to the multiplayer again and again.
Plus the singleplayer looks even better than the first.

starvinbull5733d ago

If Naughty Dog are reading and I doubt they are. A newspaper journalist was sued and had to pay damages in the UK around 10 years ago for writing a damning review of a play that he never attended.

If you didn't send a copy to this review site then I suggest you contact your lawyers.

mastiffchild5733d ago

Come on folks. I'd be embarrassed to have clicked abother link to this site after reading either any of their hatchet jobs on any PS3 game OR (as I did with Gears2-a great game but NOWHERE near perfect)any of their OTT licky, licky 360 exclusive reviews.

Some tiny no mark sites are that way for a reason and aren't just struggling to get noticed while they strive to improve all their standards. No, some sites are run by fanboys for fanboys and as a result won't be used by Metacritic-they exist merely to rubbish anything on other platforms in order to massage their beliefs theirs their tiny readerships that their purchase was the only right one.

The saddest thing is that they don't even provide much of a service to even their target audience as their word is so untrustworthy they could easily disapoint people who'd bormally sin from the same hymn sheet.

The people who rushed to approve this is very tellin and shows that it really isn't just the PS3 fanboys intent on ruining life as we know it. People should really look at the site articles come from before approving their stories as their credibility goes down along with the site they put their backing to-and it then affects every word they post as people will align them with the bent site they approve of. It's sad you have to look ionto a site's history but if they aren't well known it's a thing you really need to do if you want to approve articles AND not look like a complete idiot. I can't be bothered doing that research all the time and that's why I nEVER approve anything these days-not since I opened this account(after having to change my email when my ISP closed down).

starvinbull5733d ago

Mastiff it was apptoved by someone with multiple accounts.

vhero5733d ago

Wow why do people create such biased websites? If you have PS3 games why not just review 360 games?? I really don't understand?? Why do people have to stoop to such levels what are they trying to prove? Metacritic thankfully wont accept this site.

wallace10005732d ago

Guys, stop worrying about reviews and just get the game if you like the look of it. So far it is looking pretty sweet, so does it matter what one reviewer posts on their site? If you like the look of it, get it and enjoy!

seriously if you want hits for your site, be original with content and not giving bad grades to games that are already proven to be AAA after 20 reviews....

DaTruth5733d ago

Don't listen to those 20 other far more credible sites; They don't know what they are talking about. Gamer.no is the real deal!

The name is right; Gamer.no, definitely no!!!

Hope none of you guys clicked this link!

""""Unchar ted: Drake's Fortune is in my book a classic, and one mile pole within the game medium. The same will never Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to be. Sad, but true. """"

There you have it folks. Gamer.no (Whoever they are) have somehow confirmed that Uncharted 2 is nothing special and will never be a classic. Looks like sites such as IGN, 1UP and G4 were wrong about the game lol

Alcon Caper5733d ago

Kinda lame that he compares it to the first Uncharted, but he doesn't have a review of the first Uncharted.

Uncharted 2 Is the Most Important PlayStation Exclusive of All Time

In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.

gold_drake216d ago

it was pretty good. especially the multiplayer

KyRo216d ago

I loved this era on multiplayer games from Sony. People used to call the modes tacked on multiplayer but they were enjoyable. I loved Factions even more. I'm Still gutted that the second one isn't coming out.

-Foxtrot216d ago

Yeah, that one game where it not only has an amazing single player but the multiplayer was also just as good.

A fresh a breath air with it's more "skill focused, less is more" multiplayer in a time during COD fever where every other game with online was trying to be like it.

Shame NaughtyDog eventually did do COD like things with Uncharted 3 and 4, they ruined what made the original so good. It become an over the top arcade fest in the end.

Inverno216d ago

Ironic cause the MP was basically Halo, and Bungie helped on the technical side of things too. MP was more simple back then, I've said this before but I played U2 MP religiously. I sucked at it like you have no idea, but mah gawd did I have so much fun. Can't find an MP game that hooked me like U2s these days. Then Factions came along and while it had its problem I found new religion with it. Agh damn it why did they cancel Factions 2 bruhh.

gold_drake216d ago

i had so much fun too, played almost every night with mates or cousins baha

Relientk77216d ago

It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.

RaidenBlack216d ago (Edited 216d ago )

Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...

RaiderNation216d ago

I would argue it's God of War.

darthv72216d ago

I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.
