Come on folks. I'd be embarrassed to have clicked abother link to this site after reading either any of their hatchet jobs on any PS3 game OR (as I did with Gears2-a great game but NOWHERE near perfect)any of their OTT licky, licky 360 exclusive reviews.

Some tiny no mark sites are that way for a reason and aren't just struggling to get noticed while they strive to improve all their standards. No, some sites are run by fanboys for fanboys and as a result won't be used by Metacritic-they exist merely to rubbish anything on other platforms in order to massage their beliefs theirs their tiny readerships that their purchase was the only right one.

The saddest thing is that they don't even provide much of a service to even their target audience as their word is so untrustworthy they could easily disapoint people who'd bormally sin from the same hymn sheet.

The people who rushed to approve this is very tellin and shows that it really isn't just the PS3 fanboys intent on ruining life as we know it. People should really look at the site articles come from before approving their stories as their credibility goes down along with the site they put their backing to-and it then affects every word they post as people will align them with the bent site they approve of. It's sad you have to look ionto a site's history but if they aren't well known it's a thing you really need to do if you want to approve articles AND not look like a complete idiot. The difference is lots of less well known sites gave ODST a bad score. While I am sure some are biased against the game, the others aren't. In this case the site is obviously biased against the ps3 judging from the review scores they have given to ps3 games in the past. If you can find 9 more sites that give UC2 a bad score, than you have a case.

Okay i'm confused on this part of the review about the part where he talks about chloe eyes. Is that a metaphor or something? i didn't quite understand it cause it had bad grammar as well. I don't think this person even played the game also because in the whole review i didn't see anything new. You know? like with at all the other review they talked about the train level, the sneaking level, and some of the cinematic and collectibles. This person didn't do that all what they did was compare this game to gears of war and tomb raider. This review i cannot take seriously. I think some people need to get over the fact that Uncharted is a shooter with platforming and puzzling elements. It's not Tomb Raider and it doesn't want to be Tomb Raider. The sites that seem to be giving Uncharted 2 low reviews are the ones that complain about "too much shooting". I had similar sentiments when I originally played Drake's Fortune, but after playing it again and viewing it differently, I liked the game for what it was, not for what I thought it should be. If you want Tomb Raider, go play Underworld.

Its the means by which many people decide which games to buy and not buy, a 7 in this day and age could be the killer for some, and that is a shame since I doubt all the reviewers up to this point have been lying, funnily enough all the bad reviews surfacing come from scandinavia (btw thats not a diss, I am Swedish myself).

One other thing that bothers me is the fact that he constantly mentions Gears and Tomb Raider as comparisons, and well those games have a completely different focus, besides none of those stories were epic, Gears 2 was good but not nearly as good as Uncharted Drakes Fortune and I doubt that the second one is any different in that respect, from what I have gathered so far anyways.

And many people have a favourite reviewer, one how has given them great advice throughout the years, I know I have (noobtoob), but say you just bought the slim, you know very little about that reviewers previous toughts on PS3 exclusives (or vice versa), and considering the economic climate and great AAA titles coming from left and right some sacrifices have to made, I will probably have to wait with Assasins Creed 2, Forza 3, Demon Souls etc because my wallet won't allow me to indulge myself.

This is where reviews come in, I am for example on the verge of going through and buying Assasins Creed 2, however if my favourite reviewer dings it then I'm out.

And many "casual-ish" gamers who don't spend hours every day gaming sites methodically analysing games to determine whats hot and whats not rely on maybe one or two sources to make a decision, and it's a shame they should mke the wrong one because it may be a great experience they are missing out on.

Even if it is for hits just who would ever go back twice? I remember first seeing this site when it reviewed Gears2-a game I really like a lot-and looking around after what seemed a very OTT Epic lov-in I soon saw the colour of this sites bias and as a result couldn't take the 10/10 seriously(and with all the online woes added to the "issues" with the story/end "boss" I think anyone would be hard pressed to give it a 10)especially after seeing the scores for PS3 exclusives they'd done.

I honestly think that sites and people like this would be a hell of a lot better off JUST reviewing games from their console of choice. there's nothing wrong with being a single platform site and when you can't help from bashing great games on another platform it impacts on the way the, maybe, honest reviews you do for games on the console you do like. In fact I'd suggest that a few single plat, dedicated PS and Xbox sites(OXM and OPMUK both do it well, imo)have become really fair and level handed with their reviews this generation even when other sites have been throwing tens at their exclusives they haven't always bitten which gives them a lot of credibility in my eyes.

Also, a tiny site swimming against the tide of EVERY respected reviewer in the known world(as with U2)is going to look VERY niased even without these guys history. Going about it ALL wrong and looking stupid into the bargain when if they just did their 360 reviews they MIGHT have a chance at growing-as it is even moderate 360 owners won't take thes guys seriously with the bias they show right now.

Believe it or not, this site is the biggest independent gaming site in Norway... I am banning this site forever... The game have gotten great reviews otherwise from Norway though. Gaining perfect scores in all the major newspapers and the biggest tv-channels.

Gamer should be ashamed... Everybody who played Killzone 2 can see how many flaws that review had, and I bet everyone who plays Uncharted 2 will see how much wrong this site writes...

Of all the reviews of U2 i have read, this one just goes against all the others reviews. I hate critics because they are too often too analytical and got lost in the process and forgot to just enjoy the game.

Not that there is anything wrong with Norway, but from reading the review I just get the filling that there were some fundamental cultural, aesthetic and personal differences that this person had with the story. First, the review is entirely about the story, it hardly addresses game play and though it admits to stellar graphics, the reviewer can't get past the fact that the leading female character has eyes that glisten. He apparently fell in love with both Drake and Elena, and was heartbroken that they did not carry on that affair, and was unsatisfied with the way Drakes relationship with Chloe plays out. Also he, being an idiot, reveals that the game makes the same "twist" as the previous game (i.e. mythical creatures, which is to be expected but you don't have to say it) and clearly had a problem with that in the first game. Truth is, people either loved or hated the "twist" in the last game, but that's just one detail within the story - introduced only to provide a variation in the gameplay dynamic - that does not address how the overall acting, dialogue and plot weave together. In otherwords, the reviewer didn't like this game because he didn't seem to understand what was going on. I believe this may be due to some cultural as well as personal differences, namely him being upset that a romance he liked was broken up and an element of the previous story he didn't like was revisited. Doesn't seem like enough to knock an otherwise perfect game by his basic admission down 3 whole points. But again, let's think in terms of culture, it's probably the case that Norwegians are just a bit more critical. Still, the point about the disparity between PS3 and Xbox game scores is also pretty much clear evidence of other biases.

PS. I have no idea whether they actually do introduce mythical creatures (though this review kind of makes it obvious), but I think they will, and I already made a bit with my friend that it's Yetis, which I think is freaking AWESOME!!! I hope it's Yetis! I mean, what else could it be?

This game has been getting reviews for ages now, and i think its safe to say that if you have an internet connection you'll know of the other reviews this game has had. Gamer.no is the biggest and most renowned gaming site in Norway, and they are known for their excellent reviews. The fact that you think they are only after publicity is pretty sad as they dont really care about that. They care about delivering great articles with high professionalism. The fact that your all so eager to bash the site is for me pretty spectacular. Just because its not added in metacritic (and my guess is because its in Norwegian) does not mean their opinion does not carry weight. As stated in an official response from the Gamer.no team they have no bias towards any particular console, just check out xbox360 scores vs ps3 scores if you want.

7/10 is a high score, and what is the point of having 1 through 10 if you guys only care about that 10 score or else the review is a complete fail. I dont think most of you understand reviews at all.

Its just part of the design. In Halo, whenever you move the stick all the way up, thats supposed to be running. The ODST are slower than the Chief of course, and their armor/weapons are supposed to weight them down a bit. But that doesnt mean they couldnt of allowed for quick sprints (like Half-Life 2).

I remember before Halo 2 came out, they said they would have Master Chief sprint but that he wouldn't be able to shoot while sprinting, but the idea was nixed. I guess it didnt fit with the balance they have in the game, but I thought it woulda been cool, maybe throw a cool blur effect in there when you do it.

I personally think it would make it too easy to get out of sticky situations, which in Halo you can avoid by just keeping your distance until the time is right. And you can outrun everyone in ODST, except for a charging brute of course :)

3) His reasons for giving it a 7/10 is pretty much the following:
- Too much combat, which he felt was lacking and far from as well done as other recent games (gears of war 2 specifically).
- He did not like where the story goes, because he feels that if there's a lot of mythology / magic / supernatural focus, it should be foreshadowed earlier in the game, not just suddenly come a while into a game that starts out realistically and well done.
- He felt the characters were lacking depth, which ruined the immersion because the game is so good at telling a story, the flaws in the story is more apparent. Flaws in his opinion.

In my opinion, that's a fair opinion. It's also not something I care about, so when I saw where his focus was, I decided I probably wouldn't agree with the final score. I think it wasn't a good review, not because it gave it a 7, but because it didn't focus on the game, but on whether the reviewer liked the story. The problem with that is when a bad game with a great story gets a great score, you would expect a good game: and be wrong.

4) Based on the text itself, I'd think the game was closer to 8 than 6, but 7 seems fair. Again, based on what he writes, it's not that big of a surprise. He reviewed the single player campaign, found too much shooting which he felt gameplaywise wasn't that well done, characters that didn't draw him in, a story he didn't like. Two of those seem to be very subjective.

7) It should be remembered here that the site gave Flowers 9/10, Disgaea 9/10. There's no hidden "we hate all ps3" agenda here.

8) You can chose to believe me or not, but if anything, I've always felt that as someone who have wii, 360, ps3, but still game more on pc than consoles, gamer.no is pretty good. Historically, I would say that it seems slightly in favour of PC games over consoles as it seems more forgiving on errors in pc games than on consoles, but besides that they normally are pretty good at reviewing. I often disagree with their scores, but I find their reviews give good information about the game.

9) Reading other reviewers, they have praised the graphics, the cutscenes, the characters, the storytelling. Finding it to be pretty much amazing.

To me, this suggests that whether or not you merely like, or truly love, the game, is dependent on whether or not you love the story, the characters, and find graphics important. That's subjective.

Of course, so is pretty much everything.

It sad to see how people, or should I say fanatics, does not allow others to disagree with their own view... The site in question may or may not be rubbish. But as far as i see it, a review of any game/movie always have been and always will subjective... no review will ever be objective as there is a person writing it... any man/woman should be allowed to differ in opinions.

As for Unchartered 2, if a game is close to perfect, a follow up will always have to exceed that, and as as such, its fair to compare the follow up with the first, and in this case... I gather it did not meet up to the expectations of the critic compared to the first, hence the "bad" review. (must say I have'nt read the review, as i do not understand whats written there) I'd say 7/10 anyway is good, as I'm sure I'd never give any game 10/10.
