EscapeVektor coming soon to PS Vita

Aussie developer Nnooo is bringing its WiiWare Tron-like title to the Vita. Alarmingly hypnotic, it looks a good fit for Sony's handheld, especially if it has a decent touch implementation, and will help bolster the flagging range of smaller titles.

They're aiming for an end of year release, check out some Vita-powered screen shots of the game. If only Hard Lines developer, Split Milk, would bring their HD iOS game over too!

Oh Gosh! I can't stand it anymore...Its just another mobile'like game on Vita.I didn't bought this console for games like that cuz I had them on my mobile phone. Is it really the purpose of Vita, mobile games? If so you will fail again Sony.

They are trying to attract all markets, and I am much more satisfied playing mobile games with real controls.

Most games for the Vita that are coming out will most likely be around holiday and fall.

The Vita Follows trend with consoles, which have barely any releases in Summer.

We'll see pick ups when we get COD, assassin's creed and other amazing games in Fall. I for one can't wait for ghost recon!

Yeah maybe, but Vita have no chance to compete with mobile market. Two simple reasons why:

1.The device could be too big(and heavy too) for a phone user who prefer mobile gaming and the Vita don't have even a call possibility which phones have. Its impractical to have both devices with you just for gaming.
2.There are no market(yet) with free apps and games like on android or iOS.

It doesn't need to compete with it, just keep a close distance.

Just like gaming comes second to Cellphones, So will mobile games come to a Gaming device.

Wouldn't they normally just buy a company who is working on a Pokemon like a game. Then close them and make them do something else?

UltraNova2779d ago

Yeah..maybe all those Worst Company of the year awards got to them...not really. Maybe they are waiting for the P Go craze to die down and then release their clone?

nX2779d ago

Or maybe they realized that they are lacking the creative talent to come up with this kind of game. Most likely, actually.

OneLove2779d ago

There is no Pokemon competitor. Many have tried already.

NotoriousWhiz2779d ago

I probably played monster rancher more than Pokémon. Particularly the 2nd one. I wish they'd make a new one.

blackblades2779d ago

There was one called collectem that supposedly still in development for sony systems. Thing is its been in development for years and not much on it like they they taking a long break or something

detroitmademe2779d ago

I'd love a good rpg similar to Pokemon. But I'd want it to be for consoles

gamerb62779d ago

If the rumours are true then your in luck, new Pokemon game may be coming to the NX

detroitmademe2779d ago

Is it gonna be a true Pokemon game like the ones for game boy and 3ds or is it gonna be a spin off like go or that Pokemon game where you take pictures all day because the spin offs are ass

gtxgamer22779d ago (Edited 2779d ago )

If it anything like Pokemon xd or Colosseum count me in

terrorofdeath2779d ago

I guess the closest Pokemon competitor would be Ni No Kuni, I guess?

GameBoyColor2779d ago

YoKai Watch maybe? It's big in Japan at least

x_BlackRose2779d ago

Pokemon Battle Revolution was pretty awesome, but we need another game like Pokemon Colosseum, with multiple regions to explore. Hoenn, Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh. Where we can traverse all those regions defeating their respective gym leaders and Elite Fours. With all pokemon available, all wrapped up with a pretty good story. Why has Nintendo not done this yet? That has triple A all over it. Could be a potential GOTY.

TheUndertaker852779d ago

Because why do that when they can split them all like they do?

Your way: $40 game
Nintendo's way: $80 for each region then $120 for the original Blue, Red, and Yellow

I mean, you just gotta catch them all, right? Plus now they've found a way to add in meaningless accessories with the Z-Ring. $30 for the ring then $7 for a three pack of crystals to use with the ring.

PN2 Review | Going Old School With Blast 'em Bunnies

Mark from PN2 reviews Blast 'em Bunnies by Aussie studio, Nnooo.

"Blast ’em Bunnies isn’t your typical console experience. It feels more like the best kind of mobile game combined with a classic arcade shooter, brought over to the big boys leagues with extra content. It’s the perfect antidote between bouts of The Division or Halo."

Why devs still think that bring mobile games to consoles is a great ideia?
