"Video game consoles aren’t ‘video game’ consoles any more, they’re fully fledged media boxes, with TV shows, movies, games and music ready to sap away our free-time and attention like a leaky dam at the touch of a button and a flick of an analogue stick. We shouldn’t have to decide between a quick gaming session or catching up on our favourite show when both are available in the same package.
So with that in mind, what would happen if the two types of media merged and 20 hour gaming epics were whittled down to concentrated 40 minute bursts of television entertainment? Tomb Raider I, II, III Remastered is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Lara Croft is back in a classic remaster of the original PlayStation 1 hit title. Is the remaster any good though?
I would watch all of them!
Assassins Creed would be the most viable, the rest of the suggestions is just unnecessary fan service. Bioshock would best suit a higher budget film.
AC would be perfect as you could have stories and characters running parallel to the games, without the two interfering, allow for greater stories to be told. And perhaps each season could consist of a new assassin from a different era of the same descendant.
HITMAN. I've been saying this for years. Screw movies... a new hit every week.
