I didn't know Halo 4 was confirmed...

ktchong5951d ago (Edited 5951d ago )

They just put that one in to make Xbox 360 fans feel better.

Just look at the list:

All the PS3 exclusives - MGS4, FFXIII and Haze - have SLIM or NO chance of appearing on the PS3.

On the other hand, the article says all the major third-party 360 franchises - BioShock and Mass Effect 2 -- are very likely to move to the PS3.

mikeslemonade5950d ago

I agree with everything except their FFXIII and Haze prediction. FFXIII is a lock for the PS3 and Haze has more than a "slim" chance of going to 360.

ktchong5950d ago (Edited 5950d ago )

is because the only way 360 will get the port is *if* the PS3 version is successful and sells well.

And they don't think the PS3 version will sell well.

It's in the article.

SlappyMcTaint5950d ago

MGS4 will NEVER BE PORTED, yet you lemming xbots still think there's a slim chance. A worse chance than Dumb and Dumber guys having a chance with that babe: 1 in a million.

Get over it, buy a PS3 so you can play MGS4, otherwise get the fck over it.

ravinash5950d ago

They probably mean Halo Wars.

Fat Bastard5950d ago

"All the PS3 exclusives - MGS4, FFXIII and Haze - have SLIM or NO chance of appearing on the PS3." Dude, I only hope you meant they have slim or no chance of appearing on the 360, cause otherwise you would be completely off my friend.

But that photo of snake by a 360 logo is propaganda to me.

ktchong5951d ago (Edited 5951d ago )

See for yourself.

Does it matter that the article use that image? The article basically gives MGS4 a "slim" chance of ever getting ported to the Xbox 360. (Personally, I'd give it a "zero" chance.)

It really puzzles me why Microsoft would be so foolish enough to continue to encourage rumors of MGS4/FF13 getting ported to the 360. Maybe Microsoft foolishly think that sort of rumors would somehow dissuade people from buying the PS3 if they assume they will be able to play those games sometimes in the future on the 360. On the contrary, that kind of rumors only create more hype for MGS4 and FF13.

Microsoft should be working on KILLING the buzz for games that are not going to show up on Xbox 360, just like Sony fanboys are working hard to kill the positive buzz for Mass Effect and Too Human. But then again, the Microsoft boys are idiots when it comes to dealing with PR and handling public images.

El_Colombiano5950d ago

I must say Round Peg, you impressed me there with your post...congratulations.

ravinash5950d ago

MS don't mind the rumors about games like MGS4 going to their system because if people think that it is, they might wait to see it come out and there fore not buy a PS3 to play it.
MS don't say anything about it, so no one can turn round after a long time a say Hay you told us it was coming out on your system.

Chance of Xbox 360 Port: Slim
Don't get your hopes up -- Solid Snake was born on the PlayStation and will likely die on it.

Zhuk5951d ago

You mean the MSX, a Microsoft machine

tethered5950d ago (Edited 5950d ago )

Yep.
Its true, but that doesn't mean we will see MGS4 on the 360.
Its a good thing I have both systems.
You should look into getting a PS3 if you want to play this game so bad.

Babylonian5950d ago (Edited 5950d ago )

You mean the MSX, a machine built by Sony

Don't believe me? Look for yourself ( see picture attached), OWNED!!

Oh and Metal Gear 1 and 2 were indeed build for the MSX, but this is Metal Gear SOLID 4, and the first Metal Gear SOLID was made for wich console again? OWNED #2!!!!

@tethered
Yeah I know, it's weird but that's what they used to look like. Search google if you want to see more pictures.

tethered5950d ago (Edited 5950d ago )

Interesting, I was wrong.
Can I hit disagree on myself above? lol

Also, no, I cant hit disagree on myself. I tried but it wont let me. lol

PirateThom5950d ago

MSX2 - many people had a SONY machine running a Microsoft OS.

Zhuk5950d ago

poor delusional fandroids, you can't spin yourselves out of this one. the MSX was a Microsoft machine it was not a 'sony machine' who do you think owns the patents and designed the hardware, it is owned by Microsoft but it was licensed to various manufacturers, just how consoles such as the 3D0 or Saturn were licensed.

Douchebaggery5951d ago

My take is that the x360 will get some Snake love but so far from the PS3 release that it won't matter to anyone who doesn't own a x360, like Lost Planet.

SimpleSlave20d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan20d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave20d ago (Edited 20d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
