All the PS3 exclusives - MGS4, FFXIII and Haze - have SLIM or NO chance of appearing on the PS3.

On the other hand, the article says all the major third-party 360 franchises - BioShock and Mass Effect 2 -- are very likely to move to the PS3.

Does it matter that the article use that image? The article basically gives MGS4 a "slim" chance of ever getting ported to the Xbox 360. (Personally, I'd give it a "zero" chance.)

It really puzzles me why Microsoft would be so foolish enough to continue to encourage rumors of MGS4/FF13 getting ported to the 360. Maybe Microsoft foolishly think that sort of rumors would somehow dissuade people from buying the PS3 if they assume they will be able to play those games sometimes in the future on the 360. On the contrary, that kind of rumors only create more hype for MGS4 and FF13.

Microsoft should be working on KILLING the buzz for games that are not going to show up on Xbox 360, just like Sony fanboys are working hard to kill the positive buzz for Mass Effect and Too Human. But then again, the Microsoft boys are idiots when it comes to dealing with PR and handling public images.

I must say, Sony really f*cked up on Mass Effect. It was originally meant to be a PS3 exclusive but Sony didn't give out the dev kits early enough for Bioware's liking, that game would have been so, so much better if it were in fact a PS3 exclusive simply because of Bluray. Bioware stated that the DVD9 was in fact presenting problems. That's why the 360 ended up with a 15-20 hour story line for an RPG...it's a shame really...this problem on the 360 will soon evolve into a norm, not enough space on the DVD9 to fully reveal the 360's potential. So I look at it as, if a game is simply AMAZING on the 360, the only thing that matters about it to me is that the PS3 is capable of surpassing it in the future, thus proving an even better experience on the PS3 later. Simply my opinion of course.

technically speaking MGS did start on the PS brand, cause all games before that point were just Metal Gear. The story for solid snake didn't start until the MGS series. From what I remember reading Solid Snake is a clone of the real snake (who is the star of the Metal Gear series). Therefore MGS did start on the Playstation.

microsoft was only interested in it being a SYSTEM seller, it wont hurt microsoft at all so why would they care.(remember the game was already in development for ps3)

I think Mass effect going to PS3 would hurt MS.
The reason is that at the moment MS can claim that the ME is and exclusive IP. If it goes to PS3, this breaks that image and there fore when the next Mass Effect comes out people will be deciding which system they want to get it on.
Plus if the PS3 version is cleaned up of the short commings on the 360 version, then people might turn to the PS3 version on the next one.

Anyone can make a list and offer their opinion on whether or not something will get ported. Doesn't mean anything. Never thought I would see RE4 on PS2. Never thought I'd see Ninja Gaiden on PS3. Not just "Slim", more like "Slim to None"; these games would require a ton of discs, and it would be very expensive to even test the games; it might not even be possible, considering the next MGS4 is supposed to have sandbox elements, and a game that Kojima said "50GB is not even enough" would have no business trying to fit on an 8.5GB or less disc; perhaps something similar will apply to FFXIII and Versus, given that they want to refresh the series for this gen.

However, Haze's "Slim to none" on 360 is bullsh1t. My bet is that it will be on 360 by next holiday. It was, after all, IN THE WORKS. It was canned because they reached an agreement with Sony, that's all.

To be honest Halo 4
isn't going to be made.
Bungie already said there finished with the franchise.
Everything you said is true except about MGS4, FFXIII, and Haze going to the 360= impossible.
All those games I've mentioned are only possible off of a Blu-ray disc and Sony all the rights to these games.
To fit MGS4 on a 360 would take 10 DVD Discs and I don't think Kojima wants to take more time to port to another console.
MGS4 is as likely to go to the 360 as Halo is likely to come to the PS3 never.
Halo 3 and mass Effect are the only true exclusives I know that are exclusive to the 360 the rest that they say are exclusive like Gears of War and Bioshock are ported to the PC.
Exclusive means only available for that platform and counting Bioshock and Gears of War doesn't count.

Microsoft (not Bungie) own the Halo IP, whereas Epic owns the Gears IP, and Bioware own Mass Effect. As I understand it, Microsoft have an exclusivity agreement with Epic for Gears 1 & 2, but after that they're free to do whatever they please, as it's their IP. Likewise, Bioware made the smart decision to hold onto the rights for Mass Effect. So while Microsoft is publishing, they don't actually own anything (Similarily Ubisoft is publishing SCIV, but don't own the IP). With EA now effectivly controlling the Mass Effect IP, not only will ME2 almost certainly be released on PS3, but also potentially ME1. Even if Microsoft has a binding exclusivity contract preventing stand-alone sale, they could still probably bundle it on the ME2 Blu-ray.
