Credit to the Japanese developers, they know how to make the kind of game normal people wouldn’t be caught playing in public.
The Mako Reactor says: “Everything you need to know about getting into the Atelier franchise from best place to start to every new release covered on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.”
Excellent article! This franchise is amazing I started around the Vita games and have been playing since. But for the newer releases I have lagged behind in purchasing due to my backlog. This great comprehensive article got my bearings straight thanks!
I always hear good stuff about the Atelier series, but with so many games I didn't feel like actually researching. So this article was a good read, and I may buy Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book in the near future.
Atelier Ryaza is looking like it’s going to be the breakout game for the franchise.
"Getting into a long-standing fighting game series is always a challenge for new players. There are so many characters and different versions to go over for many of them and going up against seasoned players who’ve been with the series for years is one of the biggest barriers. BlazBlue, however, has something a lot of other games don’t have; a ton of story. The series is known for having a lot of story content, which can make that initial barrier even harder for new players because if they jump into a new game and play the story mode, they aren’t going to be able to follow it." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
So many great games, so many franchises saved by developers revisiting exactly what it is players want. Hopefully, other developers wallowing in mediocrity can look to these games as blueprints for what they should do going forward.
What's wrong with Blazblue? Aside from the whole Ragna/Nu weird thing going on... Lol
I dont see whats wrong with blazblu or atelier
As much i like japanese culture i hate this type of games that simply focus on sexual references (aka ecchi) and completly focus the game on it.
i simply want those good old fashioned avdentures with a little boy with spiky hair or a mascot as a main character for a change.
games are geting to obessed with sex nowdays with no good reason.
Next up: Lollipop Chainsaw
rofl i never felt dirty playing those games...only those that haven't a solid ground on their sexual tastes are bothered by nudity and "eichi"
