"If you are a fan of Final Fight, Mexican wrestling and don’t mind replaying the relatively short levels to try out the different wrestlers then you can go far worse than Street Wrestler."
GodisaGeek: "Instead of being down in the dumps because you’ve started a brand new week of work, why don’t you download some games and play your way to the end of the week? This week we’ve got Basketball: Hoops of Glory, a game that tests you on how skillful you are at putting that orange ball through the metal hoop. Next we’ve got an XBLA/SEN game that made quite a splash last year, The Fancy Pants Adventures. Thirdly there’s Street Wrestler, a game in the same vein as Streets of Rage except with Lucha Libre wresters; what could be better than that? Lastly there’s iBomber Defense: Pacific, the fourth game in the iBomber series of games and one with some pretty interesting gameplay mechanics that we don’t often see in this style of game."
AppSpy: Street Wrestler for iOS is ultimately a repackage of Lucha Fury for the XBLA and despite an opportunity to fix-up its problems, the visually vibrant game fails to excite once again.
GB : Street Wrestler gives a good first impression. It feels like the developers have put a lot of effort into this, and I really love the cell shaded visuals. Think of Borderlands, when it comes to the graphics; it looks like that. The art design, especially in the first level, where you run past a car graveyard is surprisingly pleasant.
