The one thing that I had seen in the video that I didn't like was the fact that Sony decided to go with a proprietary USB cable. They should have stayed with the USB/miniUSB cable that the PSP had. I usually don't buy electronics that pull this kind of crap.

Very nice! Cant wait to unbox mine when it releases here in the US. Hopefully we will see a game selection that rivals the PS2 at some point. Don't forget to market this thing though Sony, because people will need to know about it and how awesome it is if you expect big sales.

Yes he does, isn't it awesome! i can actually understand and can translate if i even bother to.

BTW, the vita is not his, he only borrowed it for the video. The vita is also quite large but surprisingly lightweight. The quality of the screen and its clarity is very impressive and beautiful.

In the video he is generally happy at what he sees. He jokingly said that the loading is faster than the PS3. He may have seemed a little annoyed about the touch screen aspect in the game where it didnt seem necessary to touch the map.

the part where he shows the vita game cards, the slot next to it he was a little confused about what it was for. I always thought it was for the memory cards but that slot seems little small.

He did find it a little strange that it was in chinese when he switched on the Vita, since he clearly said it was a japanese PS Vita, I wonder if someone switched it on before him.

I think the main part he left out was the voltage, since the voltage for Japan and Hong Kong are different. Think that is important if you considering if you want to import it or not.

So if you are from the UK, then it is safer to import the Hong Kong version which will be released very soon. The voltage is the same so you won't blow your PS vita.

Actually he didn't say it was a Japanese vita, rather when the Vita starts up he states that the text is already in Chinese while also mentioning the fact that the vita has not been officially released in Japan.

Also regarding the touchscreen aspect, he thought for the interface it was cool but for DW:Next the feeling was described as different or odd, not really annoying.

Also agreed my Asian blood compels me to play Dynasty Warriors!

very nice, i like the new UI i don't mind the only one on the psp and ps3..but the ps3 and psp one is very booring..yes it does what its designed for but its booring..this new UI looks awesome.. an actual UI that i would probbably stick around on for like an hour just for the heck of it xD

Wow the box is thin. Anyway here are some games.

Now lets try opening the box. Tada!

We see a lot of instruction sheets and whatnot.

Here's the device. The actual device! Tada! woooo!

Here's the touch panel. Can you get a clear shot at this? There's reflections and fingerprints. Also the []XO/\ symbols.

Also the camera.

Lets look at the front. The device is actually a bit chunky, but feels pretty light. Feels like high-quality stuff.

The buttons are actually smaller than those on the PSP. Also there's an anlog stick on each side.

Now the top, which has volume buttons and a power button.

Lets turn this thing on. There power in this? Yes.

So it's now 12/16 afternoon 3:35pm. This thing hasn't come out in Japan yet.

We'll just let everyone watch the cinematic at their own leisure once they get their hands on the game. We're just testing this thing out right now.

The touch screen gives this a different feeling from the PSP.

Whoa the graphics are beautiful! It's almost already PS3 standard! And no stutter/lag.

Also notice the large amount of soldiers on screen. Not witnessing any fade in/out here.

Lots of tutorial screens in the beginning. Like it should. But the important thing here is the graphics like the polygons on the soldiers and whatnot.

It's many times superior than the PSP.

How do we quit? Oh, so down here in the lower left is the button to quit from the game and return to the home screen.

The game card slot is actually over here on top of the device. There is this little tab that you pry open to get at the game. Press it and it springs out.

The card is actually smaller than NDS game cards.

Heres a comparison. This is the Vita game card, and this is a SD card. Its even smaller than a regular SD card.

Also on top of the device is another port whose function we're not entirely sure of. Maybe sometime in the future it'll be used for TV out? Who knows?

On the bottom is the port for the charger. Right next to it is the headphone plug.

There is also a bit here. If this was the 3G model this is where the SIM card should've slipped in. But since what's in my hand is the wifi version, this bit is missing.

Now look at the Vita game packaging. It's actually very small. Much smaller than regular blueray/DVD packaging. Left is where all the instructions go. Right is where the game goes.

Now lets look at accessories that it came with, which includes a USB cable. Everyone might notice that it's actually propriatory. Currently it's not on retail by itself. It;s only bundled with the device. Have a good look.

As far as the UI goes... I'd like to see some customization of it. I'm not too fund of the kiddie-looking interface. It does bring back nostalgic feelings for the good old XMB but I really want some thing new, functional AND good looking to boot.

Vita looks great but i'm not that interested in playing full games on it (uncharted is something else),i like it for its touch screens *touch screen gaming* & internet & media capabilities.

game like worms reloaded would be awesome multiplayer game on the vita.
