GP Editor Marcus Estrada writes, "Originally released in 1998 on Japanese PS1s, the future of Vanguard Bandits was uncertain. The strategy RPG developed by Human Entertainment had quite a degree of depth and content and as it was based on no other properties it didn't seem the best target for localization. Still, two years after the Japanese release the game came to America thanks to Working Designs. From there, it unfortunately released with little fanfare and went on to live a very quiet life.
That is, until now that MonkeyPaw Games decided to bring it out of the aging PS1 catalog for a whole new audience. The question is, does the game really hold up and was it ever that great to begin with?"

Seems like a good list. Don't think I have heard of all of them. Do not have a super huge rpg history though as a gamer.
Oprainfall's look into the past continues with the PS1 strategy RPG, Vanguard Bandits.
Oprainfall writes: "Vanguard Bandits is a pretty good strategy game. There is nothing really that sets it apart from other games in the genre, but it’s story is interesting enough that you will want to play the three paths just see how they all come out. The combat is balanced well and each map will present new challenges for the player to overcome. Some battles seem impossible at first but, with some fine tuning to your tactics, there will always be a way to come out on top."
