Dark Souls Has Similar Quality On Both PS3 And Xbox 360

A lot of gamers are concerned whether or not the Xbox 360 version of Dark Souls would look inferior to the PlayStation 3 due to porting it on the Xbox 360 platform. One of the main concerns of gamers is due to the fact that the PS3 version is using the Blu-Ray disc while the Xbox 360 version uses the DVD-9 disc.

because the game devs are based on japan, the game wasnt supposed to even ship in other regions such as NA, thats why it took so much time to come to UK.. the servers were expected to shut down a long time ago, if you bought the game you were aware of it, but they are still trying to extend as much as they can with the profit made from DS

Does anyone know if this is true. Is the 360 version just a port from the ps3? I guess there is no reason for them not to b the same since the game is only 4 gigs of data. I know I played the original and it was fun and I will be picking this up at the rage mindnight release. Hopefully it will not be a 3 hour wait and a mile line like it was for gears 3 and to top it off there are 34 gamestops in my area that did a midnight here in Las Vegas. That games is huge and worth it. Can't wait for Rage an demon souls.

The game is made that only people 10 levels lower or higher can invade you so you will have a pretty equal fight. I never heard of a way some one can modify their strength that ludicrously high nor have I experienced it in Demon Souls so I severely doubt this would ever come true. Plus you can request the aid of other players when you are in a pinch so if you get invaded and got killed, it's your fault.

It's called cheating and it's most notable in COD games where people have infinite care-packages/ammo or ridiculous weapons and speed.

This happens less on PSN because their are so few hacked consoles and those are unable to connect with PSN.

So if 360 and PS3 owners can play together their is more risk of cheaters in PS3 games than if you just have PS3's playing together!

If we were to talk about the size of Dark Souls’ data, it doesn’t even reach at least 5GB. If you are planning to pick up the Xbox 360 version of Dark Souls and wish to install it on your hard drive, you’ll be surprised to see that the game only has 4GB of data. Yes, 4GB of data and as for the PS3 version, it’s the same as well.

What does this mean? It means that whether or not you play Dark Souls on either the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, you’ll receive the same quality and experience. There are no pop ins to be expected, and the game runs smoothly.

Yes, the developer back at E3 said that some compression would be required and thus a small amount of quality would be lost for the 360 version.

Apparently, something changed since E3, since it is no longer the case.

Also, this rumor started on a no-name game blog and was supposedly said by someone showing the game on the E3 floor.

It's bull. Both games are the same. The only problem with both is they have some frame rate issues with some of the open areas and big ass bosses, but hopefully that will be patched.

I don't remember Demon Souls having any problems except maybe a few stutters here and there but it wasn't a big deal

Dark Souls looks a lot easier from the 24 hr playthrough I saw on IGN. They went through half of the bosses in the game single handedly and they weren't even good players.

Way less grind in this game compared to Demon's Souls, which is a huge positive

Also, Ninja Gaiden 2 is nowhere near the difficulty of Demon's Souls and I'm sure it's nowhere even near Dark Souls either. I played both Ninja Gaiden on hardest difficulty before and they're still very easy.

I doubt that. id software had to "downgrade" the PS3 version to make the game fit on the X360. So no version is superior.

i don't think looks of this particular game are important. demon souls wasn't a looker - it was the experience that made it one of the top games this gen. hopefully, a lot of 360 gamers enjoy dark souls.
