What We Love (And Hate) So Far About Diablo III - RipTen

RipTen: After spending close to a full day with the Diablo III beta, both Dave and I came away feeling impressed and excited for the full release of Blizzard’s hotly anticipated action/RPG. While the gameplay largely remains the tried and true “click on dudes to destroy them”, there’s a few key changes to the Diablo formula that may sway your opinion depending on your stance. I don't even have to read this, it's gonna say:

Loved: Everything
Hated: Nothing

:-p

I'm with you on everything. And I also am :( the lack of anti-alias in the beta.

candybeans4599d ago

Okay, not everything. I'm not too upset by the "dumbing-down." So.

Everything but the visuals is great. Worthy sequel indeed.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Palitera395d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33394d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
