There’s something about these LEGO games that keeps people playing over and over again. They’re incredibly simple and, unlike most games nowadays, they’re just pure fun. With LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, they’ve married that incredible sense of fun with a movie franchise that is all about fun (only because, if we’re being honest, that’s all it’s got). The world of Pirates seems to be a perfect match for LEGO’s next venture.

I was looking forward to this game actually. I heard the Pirates theme is really true to the story. Sad they had to cancel the other title they were working on with Disney.

Disney has also grown its lineup considerably in recent years by acquiring Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars (although for the purposes of this article, I’ll only be covering Disney/Pixar output).

Thanks to their broad audience, Disney games usually show up on every viable platform out there, meaning that despite the brand’s affinity with Nintendo’s younger-skewing audience, both the PSP and Vita received a number of titles throughout their lives.
