Get to know your XNA MVPs – Part 3: Michael McLaughlin

Continuing from where part 2 left off in the Get to know your XNA MVPs feature, we’ll (Armless Octopus) be welcoming and interviewing another of the most recent additions to the team XNA MVP. Recently I (Dave Voyles) had the opportunity to interview Michael McLaughlin, better known as Bob Taco Industries on AppHub Forums and @mikebmcl on Twitter.

As I (Dave Voyles) mentioned in my(Dave Voyles) previous interview with John Defenbaugh, I’ve ((Dave Voyles) always been curious how XNA developers got started with the platform. When I (Dave Voyles) asked McLaughlin how he (McLaughlin) got started, his(McLaughlin) response was a bit surprising: “I got into XNA mostly by random chance. Before getting involved in XNA I was a lawyer, which was something that was growing steadily more frustrating and disappointing.” But being an attorney is far from being a game developer.
