Nintendo hold the rights to those two games. Like they do with Remake and zero.

I doubt we'll see them on any other systems any time soon.

HD remastered? Means it won't be on 360.. All these HD remakes havn't so far appeared on 360 why would this be any different? Theres too many licensing issues for them to come out on 360 I think.

RE 2 is my favorite. You can play it 4 times, alternating with each character, and see more and more of the story. It really ends on the train and you fight the giant spiky blob thing. Nemisis in RE3 is a rip off of MR. X in re 2, who chases you around the mansion the second time you play as a character.

RE2 is my favorite and HD would be sweet. Who knows how that would work with those pre rendered backgrounds tho. I would play it now but I only have the Clare disk, lost the LEON one.

There are tons of HD remakes on the 360, and the last one appeared just recently: Beyond good & Evil.

The only difference is that these remakes get a reasonable 10$ price tag in XBLA, and don't force you to buy a 40$ multi game compilation even if you want just one game.

Code Veronica is a good idea as it was probably the least played, but why can't some of the originals get some more love?

Resident Evil 2 was probably the greatest of all time and it's gotten no attention. The Gamecube remake for the first was great, let's see a HD revival of that bundled with a remake of Resi evil 2!

It says HD Remastered right in the title, so yeah def. sounds like an HD Re release. Either way the trophies and higher resolution does it for me, along with being on one disc. Now knowing Capcom this will be a $60 game rather then your average $40 for HD collections.

Thats the reason i stop collecting games!They most likely will get an HD revision down the line!We will probably see Metal Gear complete HD collection too...... Devs this days dont have capabilities to make new IP's.I really hope a new generation of developers gets working on new IP's soon.The old developers are lacking in fresh ideas.

Honestly, I thought all of the Resident Evil games up until 4 were kind of lame. The story was very interesting though. The controls is really the only problem I had with the series.The controls really just ruined it for me.

The controls didn't really change just the over the shoulder camera and slashing with the knife doesn't have to be equiped to use it. Still can't move and shoot which doesn't bother me. I love Resident Evil one and Code Veronica. Resident Evil 4 is good too but nothing compared to one and Code Veronica.

Missed op to not have the Gamecube remake and Zero redone into Hd for the PSN/PS3. Crazy foolish. I loved RECV, though, so I'll take it. RE4 I didn't care for. I would love to see RE2 and RE3 get the gamecube remake treatment and then booted into HD. God Capcom has a lot of work to do.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's so easy, GC remake was part of an exclusivity deal with Nintendo(final terms undisclosed), to try and regain the hardcore audience from the PS fanbase.

Furthermore, even Virgin had some RE1 ownership rights in EU, that alone, caused that RE1 couldn't be released in the PS Store until now.It is a saga desmembered by legal vultures.

Yes! RE4 HD has been a request of mine for years! Mods on the PC version make it look pretty nice though...and they replace the FMV's with upscaled FMV's ripped from the GameCube version...which had the best looking FMV's. Lol.

I'm so excited though! I've played through RE4 more times than any two people. I love it!!!

They could have released the 360 version on multiple discs if needed.

The reason we are only getting 2 games is:

1, the older games are to hard rework into hd (all the pre rendered Backgrounds would scale badly and need to be remade (which would take a lot of time and money).

2, Remake and zero are Nintendo exclusives and can't be ported over as Nintendo have the publishing rights. Its the same case with Umbrella chronicles and Darkside.

3, Outbreak 1 and 2 will be kept to one side and released on its own compilation disc (if they do release it).

4, the remaining full real time 3d resident evils, dead aim, gun survivor etc aren't regarded as great games so they wont be reworked.

And i'm not an xbox fanboy either I only have a PS3.

As much as I enjoyed RE4, I think it's been done to death enough times that it's almost impossible to find a console it hasn't been ported to.

I think game's perfect as it is on the Wii. I think Code: Veronica was a good choice for an HD remastering of the "classic" RE style, but I think everyone wanted to see an HD remake of Resident Evil 2 and 3. I think they deserve it just as much, if not more.

Also, having Outbreak Online again on the 360 and PS3 would have been a butt-load better in my opinion for online survival play. With HD update graphics and systems of course.

O my god this is real!! I played these games over and over especially RE4 i owned on multiple console`s. I cannot wait for capcom to make a official reveal and give out more details. I hope these games get a good treatment remastered in HD.

If they can give us Move Support for RE4 that would be the best thing ever. RE4 on Wii is one of my favorite games of all time.

Code Veronica is probably my fav RE game after RE2. Haven't played it since the good ol' Dreamcast days, so I can't wait to play through it again! Hope it's the Code Veronica X/Complete version though, as I never got around to play any of those.

As for RE4, it really deserves a HD upgrade. Saw it running on PC at a friends house, and it looks incredible!
